AMAZING!! VERY NICE
I ordered a piece of driftwood a few days ago that was way too small and was more like a few branches than a piece of wood. I ordered this item and it got shipped and delivered around 8 AM the next day and it was only $5 more than the other product. This one came and looks almost exactly like the picture, and it is a huge piece of driftwood. I have a really long tank so I might need to buy more but I know where I'm going to go whenever I buy more. This product was wrapped in 2-3 layers of bubble wrap with a bunch of tape over it which made it super secure. It was so secure that it was almost hard to open. For me, I think that's a pretty good thing because I would rather spend 20 minutes trying to open a package than spend 5 minutes and open a broken package. It came and it looked very clean and it was a really nice piece of wood with 2 hiding spots for my fish. Great value for your money! Size was great aswell. Very sturdy.

Just buy it
In the picture is two pieces of driftwood stacked together. The pieces are beautifullllll. Tbh the better sides of the driftwood aren’t even how I set it up so the picture doesn’t even show the full beauty of the set I received. I didn’t set up with the beautiful angles of the wood because I wanted a little hole in the middle where my “path” is. One piece sank right away, but one of them was a process. I boiled them both on 3 separate nights, so I would boil for 2-3 hours, and then let them sit in the hot pot overnight. During the day, so my kitchen was presentable, I put them outside in a water filled bucket. They did sank after the first 2 boils but I did one more just to get some more tannins out of them. The water in the bucket was no help as it’s freezing temps here, so it was basically just to keep them soaked between boils. Hopefully that helps anyone during this process. The size I ordered is the perfect size for my tank 10 gal. I wouldn’t have gone smaller nor bigger. It’s not plastic, it’s real driftwood. The wood is strong and did not break apart even tho I did boil it for quite some time. Amazing value. Each piece I received would’ve been $25+ from any common pet store. Yet I got two for that price. When I rescape other tanks, I will absolutely purchase from here again. Packaged extremely well!

Great Product
I used the boil method to aid in getting rid of a lot of tannins and helping the wood to sink. I boiled for about an hour with a water change midway through. My tank did not turn brown from the tannins and the wood sank fairly well. I did get a bacteria bloom causing cloudy (milky) water, but that should clear up. My fish seem a lot happier since they have something to explore.

Size
These pieces of wood are beautiful. The different sizes are a good match. There nice and thick. They look great in the tank with the rest of my decor. My beardie likes to walk over them. He also likes to rub his face and body against it when he's shedding. I thought that they would have been a little bit bigger. That's why I gave four stars, not five. Good value for the money.

Beautiful, but read ther prep work instructions!!!
These are beautiful pieces! But understand you MUST do some prep work! These need to be boiled 3-4 times, for 3-4 hours each time, in fresh water with baking soda changed each time. The last time, use just plain water, no soda. You can also add a tablespoon of citric acid during the last boil to remove any residual PH-raising compounds. This size had enough mass that they did not float, but small pieces of wood float, no matter how wet they are! So smaller pieces will need to be weighted down or superglued to other high-mass elements.

Miniature wood for a miniature tank
It can feel too small at times trying to fit something together but they are unique pieces at a competitive price point

Sinks & Size. 1 Month Update, In-Depth
Adequate sizing & length of wood. They do leak tannins even after 2 hours of boiling, but 4/5 woods sink. The largest piece floats (& is to be expected) so I'll soak it for a while & use it as a centerpiece. Although the packaging itself was somewhat difficult to cut out, the obvious care in it was astounding! Tightly wrapped & bound to ensure no breakage. However, the smallest of the 5 woods was a bit of a disappointment, despite finding a place for it in my 10gal tank. In all seriousness, 7-8/10 stars if I could rate it more specifically. :) Edit: the largest piece sunk after roughly 24hrs of soaking, but any piece has a chance of needing a(n) longer time to sink/anchor 08/19/2023: I rescaped two days prior to this edit. I'm satisfied with my scape as of right now. The woods fit together nicely, and there are spots where the betta can hide in, a "cave". I did notice that it smelled awful in some places, like it was biofilm or whatnot despite it being in there for a month. And I noticed some sharp points that I covered with Java Moss. Little pieces of loose bark floated in the water. Still a little disappointed about the smaller pieces of wood. For any ten gallon tanks, I'd say get the medium size woods they have. These pieces are meant for nano tanks, or smaller tanks below 10 gallon. Definitely regretting a little I didn't spend my money on the medium sizes. My male betta loves the hiding spots though, despite knocking and uprooting my plants like once/week. Still lovable. Buy at your own risk, will receive different pieces of wood, so experience on this seller will differ. 9/15/2023: Soooooo. The biggest piece of wood I had was peeling. For context, after I put it in, it built up a white "sludge" that STANK. I'd heard of biofilm, so I thought it'd go away eventually. It was a very sturdy piece, so it was solid enough for me to brush it with a (clean) toothbrush. To my surprise, the very top layer peeled off, and when I tried to peel it off thinking it'd stop there, an even BIGGER piece peeled off. At least part of the length of wood and 1cm in thickness. Not happy right now as I have shrimp, thinking they would eat the biofilm and leftover food. Keep in mind shrimp are small invertebrates, and are VERY sensitive.[-2 stars] 10/12/2023: after newfound research, wood softens as you boil longer. Soft wood or mulch does not affect shrimp or fish, but it does look undesirable. If you don't want this look, I'd suggest boiling only for 10-30minutes to just get rid of undesired pests, pathogens/disease, and hitchhikers that may come on. If it is a larger piece of wood, you can choose to boil and pour water on top of the piece and soak it for 10minutes then top off with cool water to avoid softness and to sink it.

I received two beautiful pieces of spiderwood. They sunk immediately thankfully !! I boiled them for 1 hour and they still release some tannins and have changed the colour of my water but I dont have a problem with that as tannins are antibacterial and antifungal and really benefits your fish ! I received two beautiful pieces that fit together perfectly to form one very large piece ! I added some moss and they look great ! Also the customer service for this company seems to be top tier as i had issues with a previous order and they resolved it very quickly!
