This version of the airfix spitfire in 72nd scale is probably airfixes best, separate mold for all the intakes gives great detail and good detail on the cockpit for the scale. Clear parts are decent not the best but pretty good. All the parts have a good fit and require little filler. However I found the cartograph decals a bit thick and took a few passes of solvent to get the larger ones to conform properly. This might be an issue for beginners. But if you have decal solvents it’s no problem. The only big gripe I have is that on the reference they give for the identifier scheme in the bottom of the aircraft (the black and white) it only shows the wings having this scheme when in reality the whole lower of the aircraft had this scheme including the stabilizers, any refrerence picture shows this and I’m not sure how airfix got this wrong. Overall if you do your research and take time with the decals it’s a brilliant 72nd scale spitfire kit probably the best in this price range. Only having Edward or tamiya models be better out of the box but those kits usually run more than double the price. Can’t really go wrong for the price!

This Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk-1 is a really a fine kit of the most iconic aircraft of WWII. The model has recessed panel lines, a nicely detailed cockpit, choice of landing gear up or down, a pilot figure, great clear parts, and beautiful decals. A great kit if you are new to modeling, or if you are an experienced modeler looking for a nice easy and fun model to build. The parts fit is very good- the fuselage will fit together better if you remove the locating pins and. carefully glue the halves together a section at a time. This will save you from a lot of putty work and sanding. A real winner and a great bargain, highly recommended!

El clásico spitfire Mk1 con opciones para su versión de Dunkerque. Airfix nos vuelve a dejar con la boca abierta con este kit que tiene moldes nuevos con la tecnología nueva de Airfix de diseño 3D que permite imprimir en plástico las partes del modelo con gran detalle. Este tipo de precisión y detalle solo se podía alcanzar anteriormente con escalas 1/48 o 1/32. El avión es un deleite de trabajar y construir: El ensamblado de la cabina es quizá la parte más complicada sobre todo si se piensa utilizar a la figura del piloto pues el espacio es un poco reducido, pero se puede conseguir poniendo mucha atención a la secuencia de pegado de partes en la cabina. MUY recomendado el que se practique en ensamblado de las partes antes de aplicar pegamento. Esta versión del Spitfire MK.I es la mejor que hay actualmente en el mercado en escala 1/72. Está entre los 5 mejores kits de Airfix en esta escala definitivamente. Recomendado!
