Heavenly
I absolutely love the Tangle Teezer Scalp Exfoliator & Massager! It has been a game-changer for my scalp health. The dual-tier teeth technology is fantastic for exfoliating and soothing the scalp, helping to eliminate flakes, dandruff, and product build-up. Using it with shampoo or scalp treatments has truly detoxed and refreshed my scalp. The ergonomic curved shape with a comfortable grip allows me to vary the pressure for a therapeutic or invigorating massage. I have found that it not only cleanses my scalp effectively but also leaves it feeling healthier and soothed. The tool is versatile as it can be used on both wet and dry hair, making it a convenient addition to my hair care routine. The Tangle Teezer Scalp Exfoliator & Massager is easy to use, gentle on the scalp, and provides a relaxing experience while promoting scalp health. It has helped me maintain a cleaner and healthier scalp, improving overall hair health. The design is practical, ensuring that it fits comfortably in the hand without slipping, even in water. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to enhance their scalp care routine and achieve healthier hair.

Good scalp massage
I decided to give it a try. It works surprisingly well. I have less dandruff after using it every time I shampoo. Fair warning. You may loose a TON of hair the first time since it is getting the dead stuff off. Ladies, if you have longer locks or if you're hair tangles easily, do not follow the directions of massaging in circles. I had some bad knots afterwards. Instead, I use the massager like I would if I was combing my hair. That feels good and keeps the knots away.

Helps get a clean scalp
I love that this is easy to hold. It does occasionally slip out of my grip, but not out of my hand. I love how clean it makes my scalp feel without ripping out my hair or hurting my head. Gives a great scalp massage when I have dry hair as well. Helps my flakes get off of my head better and not have fallout. I have curly hair, so I only brush it once a week after my wash day. This is perfect for removing dead skin so great so it doesn’t look like I have dandruff on day 4 and on. I don’t have dandruff but without daily brushing the normal dry skin doesn’t remove from my hair. I love this brush. It is also slightly curved so it actually makes contact with the whole brush and not just the middle. It is perfect for using with shampoo so I can thoroughly clean my roots. It is also great at dispersing oils for my pre poo treatment and scalp care. Amazing! Will definitely buy more just for extras. One for the car, one for my camping gear, one for my gym bag. I tend to lose things, so having multiple is my preference.

Love this
I have a lot of hair and deal with scalp issues. I also despise "doing" my hair. I primarily use this brush to remove excess loose hair be before I shampoo. It decreases how much hair comes out in the shower which is a blessing. I am likely to update my setup so I have one for in the shower and one for outside as it has been a life changer to my routine.

Excellent scalp scratcher
This is a great shower tool for your hair if you suffer with dry scalp or dandruff. It cleans the scalp very well and keeps the scalp clean until your next washing. It gets all the grime, dirt and dead cells from the scalp leaving your scalp feeling clean and refreshed like after professional salon treatment. Easy to hold and use and does not slip even when wet with shampoo. Can also be used gently for a scalp massager.

Perfect, for my needs - I have thus far, not found there to be any issue with this in use. I've used scalp massaging brushes for decades. I'm a Mediterranean-Celt, with combination skin and a problem scalp. I get small patches of psoriasis on my scalp, caused/ aggravated by build-up of dirt, sebum, dead skin cells & random bits of fluff that ends up in my hair, I think from fleecy bed-wear. My scalp starts to get greasy within a week of washing, too, as I sweat a lot. The sweat seems to increase the amount of oil (sebum) my scalp produces. With this mass of mostly fine hair I have, that build-up gets easily trapped. Before too long, my scalp itches like crazy. On dry, dirty hair & scalp, this brush feels amazing - soothing and calming itching. I can't wait to have my hairdresser use this when washing my hair. She might prefer this one, which, on me, takes the index to ring fingers in the open curved 'handle' on the back - I have fairly small hands for a grown woman - my middle finger's ring size is 'N' & the ring finger is an 'L', if that's any help as a point of reference. If a child was using this, they'd need to use all four fingers. A fella with big chunky fingers, would only be using two fingers in the 'handle'. It's comfortable to use & easy to manage/ control, and it doesn't slip off. The ones I usually use, have like a 'whale-tail', an open-loop 'handle', which tends, over time, to snap off - it is incredibly uncomfortable on the fingers after a while, too, as well as it liking to slip off them. With those rounded ones with scalloped-edges, that I used before, the 'scratchiness' is more intense, than this Tangle Teezer massager - I find this one much more gentle in comparison. That's why I struggle to understand those that say it hurts to use this. I have allodynia - often just scratching an itch, on an arm or leg, can cause me pain. This Tangle Teezer massager is not at all painful for me to use. The only thing I can conclude from that, is, they were either using far too much force/ pressure, or, had received a faulty/ poorly-finished product. Another cause for their pain could be... This is not meant to be used in a circular motion, on many types of hair. When it says massager, it means there is a massage your scalp will get as you use it, as if you would a hairbrush, from the front to the back of the scalp. Using it in a circular motion, will only result in a mass of matted hair, full of knots, that you would have the devil's own job of trying to get out, even with a Tangle Teezer paddle brush. I believe this may be where the one-star reviewers went wrong. If you want to use it in a circular motion, first brush it through, so there are no knots, then use circular motions, working a bit at a time, correcting any knotting as you work from front to back, by brushing front to back/ downwards again. Don't just use it in a circular motion all over the scalp - even if you have brushed it through, it won't stay knot-free for long. Method is everything here. Obviously, if you have a no'1 all over, using this in a circular motion all over the scalp will cause no issues - the longer the hair, the more likely it'll become matted. I like the rows of harder nodules at each edge of this brush, for a more intense sensation & level of cleaning. You definitely need to use less pressure on these nodules, to avoid pain. No doubt, I got value for money - with the Onyx Black one I bought, being currently at better than half the usual price, on receipt of my first, I immediately ordered a second. So, that's two I own, now - for less than the price of one. It is a quality item & with it being from a trusted brand (I have their mini, regular & large paddle brushes, as well as a travel 'no-handle' Tangle Teezer), I know this scalp massage brush will last a good long while - I'm more likely to lose it, before it wears out! The Onyx Black colour shows up dead skin & fluff well, making it easy to clean thoroughly. Blonde hair would obviously be highly-visible on it, more than my dark hair is. It's thick, moulded plastic, ergo, it's sturdy - I don't think you could break it, even by stomping on it - your foot would sustain far more damage than this would. But, I don't think this would survive being run over... I'm very pleased with this scalp massager. I'm already using it just to scratch my head, rather than using my fingernails - it's certainly more sterile to use this. When the time comes for replacing these, I'll definitely buy again. Unless I encounter any issues later on, or, at the hairdresser, when Millie is washing my hair - if Millie has any salient comments to add - this will be my complete review.
