Bought this for my mum as her previous headset started going. She absolutely loves them. As a gamer she said the sounds are clear and when we're in a chat I've notice that they have very good noise cancelling and I can't hear anything else going on around her.They are breathable and she mentioned how comfortable they are even with her glasses on! They don't hurt her ears or push in the side of her head like other headsets!

good quality audio, not the best quality ever but very good for the price you pay. can go really loud as well if you have the turtle beach mixer (sold separately but i have from a previous TB headset) ear pads are comfy but overall headset feels slightly heavy. mic feedback is good too, good quality mic in my opinion despite some reviews saying it’s not so great

The sound quality is really rather good. I have a £300 pair of NC headphones for music and to be honest I don't think these are too far behind. Certainly good enough for gaming. Comfort-wise, I'd say they are good but not amazing. I have used them for 2 hours sessions and they felt fine. The build quality seems decent, I especially like the braided wire. I would prefer it if the microphone folded away rather than detached though.

I done a little research on these before buying as I game most days so wanted something that would last and have good sound and these were great the sound is very clear with good bass and high sounds. It also has the biggest driver/speaker out of all headset out at the moment. Great buy

Purchased these turtle beach headphones as a replacement for my astro a40's which were getting a bit over used. I'm not used to closed back headphones with complete isolation so that took some getting used To. The sound quality is good, there's no argument there but it's not great or perfect. It's LOUD and competent. You are going to be able to get enough out of them to be ok. But it just sounds off. Not terrible, just not quite right somehow. I've also noticed a immediate issue with the wire when plugged in to my dualsense, it can suddenly have a fit of crackling and fuzz out of no where, only cure is to unplug and plug back in. Overall for a sale price these are going to be absolutely fine. For someone looking for something special? Try something else

I use this headset primarily on my laptop at home. Have had 2 headsets from TurtleBeach in the last 8 year I was 5* pleased with those. This headset does not seem to hold the quality of sound that the previous had (X12 EarForce both of them). The X12 is powered by a (normal) USB fitting instead of a 3.5mm jack and the high quality sound the x12 has is nowhere to be seen in the Recon 500.The headset does fit amazingly well and fits solid and is well adjustable. It's certainly more comfortable as the x12 and feels more solid and well made. I might be able to tinker with a custom equaliser to get the sound quality up as I have it now on "factory settings". Overall, still a good choice and it would be hard to find a better one for this price category.
