Love this brush. Great for curly hair

Purchased for granddaughter who just graduated from cosmetology school … she absolutely LOVES them!

The bristles are smooth at the bottom where the bed of the hairbrush. They don’t have rough edges poking out like most hairbrushes. It’s not as heavy as most hairbrushes. The bristles are flexible & a thick plastic. The bristles aren’t as flexible as other hairbrushes I had in the past but those had rubber bristles & can be costly. This is a cheaper alternative. The pick at the end is attachable to the of the handle. The pick isn’t a sharp point. I did try it out when getting a tangle out & I liked it. It’s stays in place & attached. It didn’t fall off I was using it. It’s easy to flip around to put it back in at the end of the handle. The bristles are spread out enough to clean the hair out. I purchased the purple color & it is very nice pastel shade. It got all my tangles out easily & I always start from the ends first to work my way up because I have long hair. I didn’t loose many hair strands.

Cannot stress how amazing this brush is. Minimal frizz - glides easily through hair that is typically quite tangly and thick.

Um I use the brush for wigs especially long ones it stretches the hair and separates it for a even heat distribution 🤓

So, I ordered this brush after a long and at times frustratingly difficult search for a "non-curved" (i.e. basic paddle shape/only curved along 1 axis) vented paddle brush. I knew that with my very long, thick, strong and extremely fine hair that I would need a brush that had a lot of vented surface area as well as stiff . After finding only "curved" examples of this I finally stumbled upon this brush. It seems to work well, is indeed not rounded like some of the other options and has plenty of ventilation, but I have two main complaints: First: The bristles are not as stiff as I'm used to in my brushes and they don't really provide the resistance my hair needs to be detangles (esp. when wet) Second: the picture of this brush shows that it has a two sided barrel (i.e. from the top view there is a front face with the bristles attached and a back face which mirrors the front but w/o bristles) but the brush I received is has only a single surface with the bristles. I would have liked the extra strength and heft the back piece of plastic would have provided and indeed decided on this brush based upon the top view picture. It seems that perhaps Olivia Garden once sold this brush with the two-faced design but now all of the retailers and Olivia Garden website show only a single face. So BEWARE. Other than that, this is definitely exactly what I was looking for. Though I will still be on the hunt for a brush that can deliver as much as this one as well as avoid the two issues I had.

I previously bought this brush in 2019 and it lasted until now!

So I purchased one of these brushes like 10-12 years ago. It was a great brush that lasted to 2024 then the handle broke off. Fine I got many years usage out of it. Purchased the same brush a year ago and with my never dropping it. Never putting too much pressure on the handle the handle broke off. It seems their is a weak point where the handle connects to the brush head. Maybe it was a bad batch but Im out of warranty so stuck with a brush without a handle. Currently searching for my next great brush. Sad this one just didnt work out as it is a good brush.

I have natural 4B/C type hair done this brush stand the test. It's quite durable and functions well for my thick hair. It's worth every penny. Good grip on the handle.

This was a replacement for the one we bought 5 years ago. This is a great brush works well and holds up well. I recommend!
