It has been a fantastic addition to our backyard.Assembly was straightforward; all parts snapped together easily, and the lightweight design allowed me to position it without any hassle. The bin's large capacity accommodates a substantial amount of kitchen scraps and yard waste, which not only benefits our garden but also provides a rich foraging ground for our chickens.The aeration slots promote efficient composting, and the sturdy, weather-resistant construction has held up well against the elements. Thus far this has proven a pretty good compost bin. It was simple enough to assemble, if somewhat ill-fitting. It seems to manage smells fine. It allows you to dump yard-waste and scraps at the top, and withdraw compost from the bottom. Why the three stars then? Well, I simply expected more for the amount of money I paid for it. I don't think it's fair to charge the price they did for a product whose parts don't fit particularly well together.

This composter bin is sturdy and was so easy to put together. I was very pleased with my purchase. It has nice air vents that should make it work very well!

This updates my previous review, shown in the following paragraphs. I have now used the composter for leaves. The plastic is so flimsy that a raccoon or possum has been able to break the cover to get into it. The cover is now useless. This is a completely inadequate composter. It has no value and no one should purchase it. I already received a refund, but now there is still the complete waste of tons of black plastic going to the landfill.Users should be aware that the online instructions gloss over the fact that we need to remove a whole section of plastic frame in order to have a usable opening at the bottom. This section is attached with NINETEEN sprues that need to be sawed or cut with some sort of sharp tool, not just punched out by hand. The instructions expect us to do this AFTER assembling the four sides, which makes no sense at all. So read through the instructions first; you will probably want to do the last step first if you don't have a cool multi-tool for cutting.Meanwhile, the sliding door that covers that opening is very difficult to operate because the plastic is flimsy and the tolerances of the sliders are so tight.I should have listened to previous reviewers who said it was flimsy! I would not purchase this again.

Bought the Garden Composter Bin made from recycled plastic because it was from recycled plastic. I almost bought a metal composter, but they had some issues too and were much heavier.This Garden Composter was pretty easy to put together and I could carry it to where I wanted it after assembly. It is square and I prefer circular for the job. It has quite a gap at the top so when there is a lot of rain, my compost pile will probably be too soggy.It's big enough and the company thought about where they were getting their plastic.
