Absolutely in love with the cuticle stick.
Started washing my hands a lot more in January — while my general health is better for it, my hands are less so. Got into cuticle and nail care to address some of the issues and wanted items that would be easy to clean. Hadn’t had much luck with metal files and generally dislike the disposable ones.Trimming away skin seemed to only encourage further callousing, so something that’s gentle enough to be used next to or against live tissue while being able to remove . . a hangnail? N e a t .To quote Kenji— Guys, Gals & Non-binary pals: you need this. It files the free nail edge, hard bits of dead tissue that like to snag ( such as hangnails both above the nail fold and lateral ) underneath the free edge where weird bits of painful callous like to build up for me, takes off invisible cuticle that attaches and grows down the nail plate ( cuticle death grip ) and helps keep the proximal nail fold well manicured.Gosh, I know it’s “just” a glass file but it does such a good job in its application. I was using it every single day, for just a few minutes at a time. Followed up with cuticle oil and a lot of my nail and cuticle issues slowly went away, especially with consistency. Fingernails, toenails — my husband’s nails.Notice the “was”? ): The unthinkable happened, and I dropped it last night. Fortunately, it didn’t shatter. However, both ends of the cuticle stick somehow got damaged in the fall. It’s not TECHNICALLY unusable — but each end now has an incredibly sharp edge, and I went from being able to file by feel while doing something else ( like watching a show ) to having to focus a great deal on which portion of the file is in contact with my skin or nail. Huge, huge, hUGE sadness. Will keep using for now, albeit a bit less, until I can replace this one. Most likely will get more than one, because I’m sure I’ll drop it again. Am the butterfingers of the house.Love this funky little dude. Easy to use, clean, store, travel with, etc. Cannot recommend enough. You should get one. And probably another for anyone else in your life that you care about. (:

Glass why didn't I know
I love this thing. It's gorgeous for one + aesthetics are important to me. I love how it performs my word! I can't believe it's such an affordable luxury: I nearly buy 1 for each room. They're very small as in the size of an orange stick but so much nicer, work so much better, do so much more.

Miracle tool
This is the at home manicure tool I didn’t know I needed. I’ve been using the wood and metal cuticle sticks and thought I’d give this a try. It’s amazing, pushes the cuticles down with little effort, no pulling or catching on the skin and damaging the cuticle. That’s because it gently files as it pushes. I was able to push with the flat end. Then, flip it over so the flat end is up and use the rounded end to file the roughness off the newly revealed nail bed. Then, using the pointy end further push the cuticle down and finely detail the nail bed and sides of the nail. My nails and cuticles look amazing, this thing really took away the tiniest bits of skin and nail. It was very soothing to groom the nails, it’s addictive using this tool to get every little bit. The pointy end gets the little bits and tiny details a glass nail file can’t reach! Love it. I can’t wait to try the glass nail file from this company. Never going back to the wood or metal sticks ever again, this thing is a game changer.

Once you try you will keep on using
My daughter recommended when I complained about the quality of my emery boards. I was surprised at the difference and now of course can’t go back to the old ones. These work so much more efficiently and last so much longer.

Works well!
I bought this mostly for use on my toenails. As I’ve aged, the cuticles and skin around my toenails seems to have gotten thicker, dryer, and tougher to push back from the nail - despite moisturizing. The pointed end does a really good job getting along the sides and the tapered end does a great job pushing the cuticle and removing the remnants.I always reserve a 5th star from my reviews until I know how something’s going to hold up. In this case, I’ll be waiting to make sure this doesn’t lose its “grit”. After see so many good reviews, I doubt that will happen. If I drop it? - that’ll be on me😁

Essential manicure tool
I do my own manicures and pedicures every week, and am going to use this tool every time. This is shaped like an orange stick, only about twice the diameter. The ends are etched so they have a texture that is a very fine abrasive. How I’ve used it: 1) either end to remove cuticle that’s stuck on the nail, either scraping it off or buffing it off, 2) pushing back a cuticle, 3) cleaning gunk underneath nails, 4) smoothing underside of nails, 5) smoothing off overgrown cuticle under nails, 6) smoothing ridges on nail, and able to do so right up to the cuticle, unlike a buffing block, 7) smoothing and exfoliating the cuticle skin, 8) smoothing the free edge of a nail, acting as a very fine file, and 9) smoothing/filing calluses. When using it to smooth ridges it leaves a roughened surface so I will go on to buff it or cover with polish. I’m very careful because it’s glass, and if the pointy tip chipped off it wouldn’t be as useful. Fortunately mine (a grey one) came with a thick suede sleeve, and the sleeve fits into a nice, rigid cardboard tube with a top that makes me feel like the tool won’t chip or break when stored or carried. Bits of whatever you’re filing stick to the tool but wash off with soap and water, and the tool retains its edges and filing surface, unlike an orange stick or emery board. I would buy it again, and would buy as a gift for someone who takes care of their nails.
