Review: really liking it - fiddling with PHP occasionally for several years. this book is nicely up to date, at least to PHP 8.0 the github repo with code samples is very good. it even has zipped repos of older versions of the book corresponding to earlier versions of PHP.

Looks good
I almost didn't buy this book because of the comments that said no table of content, and another that said smeared print. I just got my copy. Haven't even started reading it yet, but it looks great. In book form it has a very detailed 18 page table of contents, a nice index at the end of the book. The pages are nice and easy to turn pages with crisp clear text to read. I'm hoping the contents of the book is as great as the apperance. Looks great so far. :-)

Don’t buy new!!!
Been getting dents and used quality books every time I order from this publisher and I am getting sick of it! The edges and covers have been dented and stained upon arrival…

Great book but the right side of the page has print smears
I bought this book new TWICE. It's been released with printing errors (smeared text) on 50% of the even numbered pages. I may want my money back, Amazon needs to check these before sending them out. 2nd book has less double printing, mostly small smears and it's readable but you'll get the luck of the draw when it gets sent to you. The printer/publisher should be offering this book at a discount. ---------------- I recently wrote the publisher and they have taken my snapshots and the batch number for the print to get them removed (or discounted?) from Amazon. They are sending out an error free version to me and I will donate the version I haven't returned (the second book) to a student or library if they'll take it.

Cover torn nearly off.
The box showed no damage, and the rest of the book is in brand new shape, but the cover to this book was torn nearly completely off. It had to have been torn like that when it was boxed. Isn't there some kind of quality control?

NO TABLE OF CONTENTS!????
How can you sell a 'kindle' book without a table of contents? It clearly has chapters in the book. It just comes off lazy, especially when considering it's related to programming! I literally want to return the book for this reason alone.

Perfect condition useful up to date book.
This is just what I needed. This subject is constantly changing in small ways. As recent a copyright date as possible is always needed. Well worth the money. As always I love this author.
