Simplicity Panama Style Trilby Fedora Straw Sun Hat with Leather Belt

The media could not be loaded. This straw Panama hat is well made with a very stylish design, in addition to a well thought out reddish brown faux leather belt around the brim. That simple element makes it stand out in a very classy way, and to remove any doubt, it’s basically a lot nicer in person than any of the similar hats you’ll find at Target, which are actually made out of paper. That’s not a typo, for a very similar price, those literally paper hats may look nice at first, but they lose form and fall apart fairly quickly with mild use. This Panama hat on the other hand, it’s been with me for some time now, and it gets worn constantly while Djing. My head doesn’t seem like it, but it’s deceptively large, and the extra large size is perfect for me, allowing me to position my dense curly hair around the outside of the brim comfortably. For me, this serves a few purposes, one, the hat looks nice, and two, it prevents headphone hair, which simply occurs when the headphone band covers the top of my hair while pre-cuing songs.On a more personal note, this Panama hat covers a relatively light scar on my forehead, which occurred during recovery shortly after a drunk hit and run driver hit me while walking across the street. There are also only two things to note about this hat, while preparing for Djing, the constant motion of setting up the speakers and the rest of the equipment can cause sweat to build up before even beginning to DJ. One of the easiest ways to avoid this is to take three tear away sheets of 2 or 4 ply paper kitchen towels, and use the inner lining around the front of the Panama hat to hold it in place. This will keep the hat from getting darker due to work related sweat. Lastly, this hat looks so nice that frequently while Djing, women who come by my booth try to remove it from my head so they can wear it while they’re dancing. That’s something that’s a definite no for me on several levels, but it does speak to how nice the hat actually looks to people who come out to dance. It’s well packaged too, as it comes with a plastic shell that maintains the shape of the hat in the delivery box. All in all, this is an easy 5 star product. The Panama hat is well made, comfortable, nicely stitched, and very fashionable. Of the 3 Panama style hats that were purchased from this company, which includes the jet black hat, and the black and white one, this light beige hat is my personal favorite because it adds a classic looking pop of color to any outfit.

I've ordered several of these hats in all colors over the years. They can't be beat for a stylish summer cover. I constantly get compliments and folks telling me I'm "Ready for summer" or "Ready for vacation" or "Look like I'm on vacation in Miami" (for some reason it's always Miami). Recommend!

The hat is a cool addition or accessory to a suit for the daddy daughter dance. The hat did come a little wrinkly and not as stiff as expected even with the plastic protector. However it is a nice color and style! The USPS is slower than ever when delivering packages, that is a reason for 4 out of 5 stars.

Shipping wasn't as fast as I woulda liked and I received this hat a lil late for what I wanted. However, when I got it, the packing was really great. The hat had a hard plastic insert to keep it shaped. It was also covered in plastic so moisture and stuff wouldn't get to it. I put it on and got nervous because it fit loosely on my head. there was a lil package with the hat that had directions.....something i didn't read until after, lol.So there is a little velcro strap under the brim of the hat that allows you to tighten the hat. There are also a few foam pieces that you can stick and insert if you have a really super small head or for a kid. I adjusted it and the way it fit made me decide that I could use this for some other outings. This is a great hat and fits perfectly, now that i know what i was doing!!!

The hat looks nice, and is fairly well constructed for the price; however, a L/XL is too small to fit. I have a lot of different hats, and generally wear an XL (I wear a 7 5/8 fitted) hat. The L/XL is a 23" fit, too small even with the attached leather strap left unbuckled, and an entire size off on the sizing chart. Especially since it's advisable to buy a hat of this type to be just slightly bigger than your fitted size, it's impossible to recommend this hat unless you can buy it a size up.I'd still give it 3 stars because it is a surprisingly nice hat for the money, but be very aware that the sizing isn't accurate if your head is toward the upper end of their size spectrum. The L/XL I received would probably be perfect for someone wearing what the size chart recommends for a large, and even then you might have to adjust and re-hole the leather strap.

I ordered the “Natural” color for summertime wear. Some hats I order are just thrown into the box in a plastic bag and arrive crushed, but this lightweight hat had a rigid plastic hat form inside, so it arrived in perfect shape. The larger size fit my head perfectly, 58 cm circumference.

My sister just loved it! Great for big headed people! Sorry sis 😅
