Wine Bottle in Basket

Description

This cherry wood wine bottle sits in a hand carved maple wood basket. The basket was treated with refined linseed oil. The piece stands 11 inches high and its widest diameter is 4 1/2 inches. The cork knob is made from maple wood with a floral insert on the top. The bottle is hollow to the bottom and has been finished with many coats of glossy lacquer. The label was hand carved on its face and there is a relief carving on the bottom of the basket displaying the artist's name and the year the bottle was made.
