Review: If you DM, GET THIS! - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is a great addition to you DnD games. It helps immerse you into the world you are in. PROS- -Comes with a nice durable tube for traveling and storing -Can use dry erase markers one it. (4 colors with it. Red, Black, Blue, and Green and eraser) -Comes with 4 straighten clips which helps a lot with map trying roll back up without them -A two pack is more than enough for almost any terrain. (No lava zone but you got red marker for that!) -It has a Compass (cardinal directions) but not labeled which is great so you can add it in yourself! CONS -It is a bit bulky storage. Thick cardboard -Straighten clips are only for long sides. The short sides do curl up a bit so had to use props to hold down -Maps are reverse sides. So if you wanted to put 2 maps together you couldnt match forest and beach at same time. Closing Notes Even with those few cons I still give this 5 stars! I have used this on many games so far and plan on continuing to use it as long as I DM. It is plain which gives enough freedom to place props where I want without the background being to setup with making paths that I dont want. The markers are a great addition to these maps to add shore lines on a beach, adding circles for freezing zones, red squiggles to mark a spot for fire walking for your group, or what ever you need. (like I did for my lighthouse One Shot) The only thing that annoys me a little is that the ends that do not have the straighten clips bumps up a bit but even that is not a big deal cause I fill my map with random stuff to add more to the world. Great Item. Well worth the price! If you DM GET THIS!
Review: Great starter set - I bought this set when I was a fill-in GM for our D&D table for a couple of months. It came with everything I needed for a reasonable price, including the cardboard tube for storage, which is a big deal. They’re a good quality and I would absolutely recommend them for the casual GM. It does take a minute to set them up with the plastic slots that keep it from rolling back in on itself, but it’s not a big deal. I have since purchased a vinyl battle mat that I prefer over this set, but all in all this set was the perfect place to start for me. If you’re on a budget and need a good mat fast, get this one!

**Q: Do these maps work with Wet Erase markers?**
A: Hello,

It is preferred to use Dry Erase markers to erase easily on your battle game mats with no ghosting, but if you had the proper cleaning solution to clean wet-erase markers, then you could use wet-erase markers.

I recently acquired the TIDYBOSS Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set, which includes three double-sided 24x36 game grid mats, and unfortunately, my experience with this product was less than satisfactory. Here's why I wouldn't recommend it: Flimsy Material: The quality of the game grid mats is disappointing. They are made of thin and flimsy material that feels cheap and easily creases. The mats lack durability and are prone to tearing, especially with regular use and transportation to different gaming sessions. Poor Print Quality: The print quality of the grid mats is subpar. The lines and markings on the grids are often faint and inconsistent, making it difficult to distinguish between squares and accurately track movements during gameplay. The lack of clarity detracts from the overall gaming experience and can lead to confusion among players. Limited Durability: Despite being marketed as starter set essentials, these grid mats lack the durability needed for long-term use. After just a few uses, I noticed signs of wear and tear, including fraying edges and fading prints.
