Q: How much caffine is in this?

A matcha hit provides 34mg of caffeine – not bad considering an espresso coffee provides 60mg, but the tea's effect is much more intense and lasts longer because it contains amino acid and L-Theanine. L-Theanine has a calming, relaxing effect and slows the release of tea-caffeine.

Being a fan of Kyoto Dew Matcha personally. I am from Japan and Kyoto is very far from any radiation. This is the Heavenly Place where Matcha is grown. I highly recommend it.

Ceremonial grade is for drinking alone. You can use it in smoothie but culinary grade is meant for use in smoothie and is less expensive by far. It depends how strong he liked it but I would guess around 15.
