An animated character named Val the Violin guides students through over 160 lessons, teaching them the core elements of violin playing. Authored and demonstrated by professional violinist Sabina Skalar, M.M., the method is great for beginners of any age.

- Select the best violin to accommodate the age of your child (see our violin sizing chart in the photos): 1/8-size (usually for ages 5-6), 1/4-size (for ages 7-8), 1/2-size (for ages 9-10), 3/4-size (for ages 10-12), and 4/4-full size (for ages 12 & up through adult).
- This pack is perfect for beginners with everything you need to play the violin: a quality violin with bow and carrying case, plus rosin and cloth. What's more, it includes a great teacher - the new award-winning eMedia My Violin CD-ROM.
- The violin has a spruce top with maple back and sides. Other parts are of dyed hardwood with a metal alloy, four tuner tailpiece. The violin has been meticulously set-up and packed in a protective cloth.
- With over 160 lessons, eMedia My Violin covers proper violin, hand and finger position; the elements of correct bowing technique; how to tune the instrument; play rhythmic tunes and popular songs; and provides an introduction to reading music notation.
- eMedia My Violin teaches with the help of videos and live recordings of songs. Includes downloadable software tools such as an automatic tuner, metronome, and digital recorder.
