I purchased this pull-down ladder for a storage loft area and hit a home run. Item arrived promptly, well packed and in perfect condition. No detailed instructions came with it but my contractor found it very self explanatory for a professional to install. In fact the framing was done once the item was on hand. It actually "hangs" on the deck floor using the "four corner" plates. Not for the inexperienced but was really quite simple. I wanted a sturdy ladder that was self storing and this is what I received. Highly recommend this vendor's product.

Folks should know that the angle of each step is so steep that when you are walking up and down you are on the edge of each step which is very uncomfortable, each step is fixed and you cannot adjust it. wish I had tried to return it but you only find out once its Installed...Not happy with this purchase at all.

Overall this product is just ok. It is not as sturdy as it should be and seems cheaply put together.

The quality of the product is very good. Installation is easy if you rent a material lifter (stairs weigh about 150 lbs) and figure out what the installation manual is trying to tell you. The "detailed" installation instructions in the manual consists of about six lines of badly worded instructions and about 6 tiny useless pictures on 2 badly printed pages. The stairs were delivered in a sturdy wooden box with plenty of packing. Because of the weight, I reinforced the joists and installed hangers from the rafters to the joists. The install went smoothly. I would recommend these stairs for professional installation or to an experienced handyman.
