Trend VJS/CG/SBP Saw Base Plate - Black

This is a great idea. It is simple to use when set up. I did not want to drill the base of my cordless circular saw, so set it up on a very old (and cheap) corded saw. This means I do not have the baseplate attached to my 18v cordless saw, but can still cut full sheets when I need to. If considering this item, just consider how you will mount it to your saw. When I purchased it I had looked at my 18v saw WHICH HAS NO RIVING KNIFE. When I went to fit it to my old saw, it was not as simple as plunging the saw through the perspex because the riving knife connected first, stopping the blade cutting through. Not the end of the world and fixed easily enough, but just beware of this before you buy it. Once the saw is installed on the baseplate it is easy to use and the cuts are very accurate. Along with a 2.54m clamp guide, this has made cutting sheet material accurately quite straightforward. Pleased with my purchase.
