My kid does not have curly hair, he has 'wavy' hair. But, we prefer products that don't have a lot of ingredients that we cannot pronounce and that we don't want in his hair. We only wash his hair once and week and we do condition. We only use products with few ingredients that are as natural as possible. This detangler we have been using for over a year, perhaps two. We have tried four other "Natural" detanglers and they just don't work that well. They get tacky very quickly and they feel as though they need to be washed out right away. One even didn't seem to help at all, only seemed to make the hair wet and smell good, but did nothing to help.Like all detanglers, it isn't going to undo the knots for you. But it helps the hair slide and undo better than anything else we've tried and I now use this exclusively. I think it is the coconut oil that is really doing the trick with us, but I can't be sure.But it works! And we don't have to wash it out right away and it smells nice.

This was a good product for my daughters long and frizzy hair. Although it didn't completely mantain it, it did a good job and I recommend this product again.

My oldest daughter has long, fine, straight hair. It has the ability to get epically tangled after a day of playing. This stuff works wonders to help keep her hair soft and shiny. The smell is lovely and doesn't last long, which is nice since we're not into scented beauty products. We've tried other detanglers (Original Sprout had too many weird ingredients and the smell was over-powering--CA Baby detangler didn't help detangle) and none have worked as well as this one for the long hair. Good stuff. I definitely recommend it. I even like to use it in my hair if I need a quick little fix to get my fine, straight hair to cooperate. The ingredients are all easily recognizable too. If we hadn't found the awesome and amazing Apple Valley shampoo bars for our hair, I would even consider the Shea Moisture shampoos, but we're trying really hard to decrease our use of plastic bottles and bar soaps work well in that department.

It work’s extremely well for my kids extreme curly hair. Better than original store bought ones. She loves how it doesn’t pull and helps with the extreme tangles.
