Lizzie (1957)

Lizzie had a fine cast and dealt with the same issue of multiple personality syndrome highlighted in the Three Faces of Eve, which overshadowed Lizzie. The two stories are very similar. The movie Lizzie introduced Johnny Mathis to the entertainment world playing a role as a piano player in a bar.

Always a good performance from Eleanor Parker.A bleak drama well performed by all.

Just as good as The Three Faces of Eve and Eleanor Powell deserved to be recognized for her amazing performance.

This film touched me because I suffer from dissociative disorder. Multiple personalities is a myth. People cannot summon up different people at will. Rather the self fractionalizes. It happens through continuous trauma. This film takes a very subtle look at DD and Eleanor Parker is terrific. For such a short film, they do a good job of exploring this even though this illness is very complex and the reason for it are not limited to one event.
