Great Product for less than half the money of most competitors
UPDATE: I've been able to use the cart 6 or 7 times now, and have made a few observations: 1. Bigger kayaks (like my Malibu Two) benefit from balancing the boat on the cart (attaching it near the center). 2. Bigger boats need a longer tie-down strap. Or, like me, using an anchor line with a trucker's hitch to secure it. 3. The cart drags a bit in soft sand - that said, I have SOFT sand and a heavy boat. 4. The cart works very well over hard packed dirt & gravel. 5. I haven't really figured out why it needs a kickstand - maybe smaller boats / boards will benefit from this. I had shopped around for a cart like this for a while, and when I saw the price on this I thought that quality might be an issue, but ordered it anyway since the price is so low. It arrived on time, and as other reviews noted, smelled like a whole tire store was jammed in the box. The cart stays in the garage anyway, so that's not a problem. As far as function goes, it does a great job of carrying my Malibu Two kayak (12'6" X 36", and 70lbs with gear). The supplied strap was far too short, so I just use a length of my anchor line with a truckers hitch to secure the 'yak to the cart. One hint for people not used to using these products - place the cart as close to center as you can, to help manage weight, and attached your strap / line to a tie down on the boat to keep the cart in place when rolling over soft sand. I take mine aboard when paddling in the harbor; just remove the wheels, fold the cart, and use a short length of line to secure to the boat.

Super great for kayak
I Bought 2 of these for our Advanced Elements Straitedge Inflatable kayaks. Many have stated the bad smell, but when I opened the package yes I smelled tires. I thought to my self, okay tire smell no big deal. Grabbed my portable car tire inflator to the valve stem and put 20lbs in each tire. No issues on that. Then l noticed that there is a one leg side stand that was not in the pictures of the product. That was cool and it works well. Being inflatables had to mount cart towards the rear where the hard stern ribbing is. However on a hard shell you can place it pretty much anywhere. Now is why the 4 star rating. The web strap provided is well long enough but there is no where to feed the strap through on the cart to maintain its position. A simple piece of webbing sewn in the center of the webbing on the cart would have corrected this issue. But, what I do is loop the strap around each end of the frame and then strap down the kayak. It works but looks like hell. I wheeled the kayak up and down the drive way. Wheeled it in front of me to test its maneuverability and it performed great. Just remove the axel clips to remove the tires and place the cart and tires in your storage area and go have fun. I also purchased 15" cargo nets to hold the cart and tires inplace behind the seat as i don't have internal storage on my kayak. That works great and I don't have to worry about it if over turned. So if you want an inexpensive kayak cart this is the one to purchase, unless you really want to spend three times the amount to achieve the same result.

Great cart, easy to use, loads easy.
I bought one of thes just to try it out before paying for two in case it wasn’t any good. Once I got it I placed my kayak on it and attempted to tie it down. It took me a second to figure out the best way to secure the kayak. Once I had it one there and was confident it wasn’t coming off I pulled it around my driveway. It felt good, easy to pull and felt secure. I started doing zigzags and it stayed on and didn’t even try to tip over. I went to purchase the second one but was disappointed to see they were out of stock. A couple of days later they were available again. Where we were kayaking at we could park close to the water and since our kayaks only weigh 48 lbs it would didn’t really need a cart. I would carry them down to the water while my wife carried the supplies. But we felt we should get carts in case we came across a situation where we couldn’t park close to the water. Well right after getting the second one we discovered a more secluded area to go kayaking. The only issue is the boat ramp is about 200 feet long and a steep angle. Well we brought out the carts and the worked like a charm. It is so easy carting the down the ramp and not to bad going back up. Much easier than if we had to carry them. Once we got in the water we just pulled the wheels off, stowed them in the back of the kayak, folded the cart and placed that on top of the wheels and off we went to enjoy a morning on the lake. I don’t understand the reviews that say this won’t carry a kayak or that it is hard to secure the kayak. We have two Perception Tribes 9.5 and it carries those just fine. I place the cart just before the seat so it’s fairly close to the center. I thought that might be too far forward and cause the back to drag while going down the steep incline but if anything it helped make the kayaks easier to pull. If I needed another one I wouldn’t hesitate on purchasing this again. Heck I already did. :)

Great product, but missing pieces
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I ordered this product because it looked better than some of the others. I liked the inflatable wheels, and the kickstand is a great idea. However, when I received the product, it was missing one of the quick-release ring pins for the wheels. There was a loose bolt and lock nut in the bottom of the box, but I wasn't sure what is was for. The instructions were also missing. Thank goodness for Youtube, because I was able to watch the video there to see how everything works. The loose bolt was for the safety strap on the kick stand. I had to go buy another ring pin. I think I'm going to love the product itself, I just wish it would have been packaged properly.

I feel it’s not wide enough as the kayak tips over and it’s only a 10’ Kayak
