How spicy is tajin? I can not imagine my kids wanting hot spice on their fruit. They love lime and salt but do not like spicy food yet.

Our 8 year old daughter tasted a bit of Tajin on her finger and gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. She adores the flavors of lime/lemon and salt. Although I was a bit apprehensive about the spice level, she loved the seasoning. It's quite mild with only a paprika-type of heat as another review correctly stated. In fact, she proposed that we shake the Tajin on popcorn for her bedtime snack. It paired very well.

I know salt is one of the ingredients, but does it taste very salty?

It's slightly salty. It's only salty enough to bring out the flavor of fruits (like salt can do in small amounts). For savory things, I don't think it's salty enough. I made stir fry the other day and added this as my seasoning, but had to add additional salt to taste. So, not very salty.

Is the lime pretty weak so that this will taste good on roast turkey/chicken sandwiches?

I think the lime is a little much for roasted meat. I use it mostly on salads,fruits and popcorn. It might be okay on a chicken sandwich. You just have to experiment. Personal preferences.
