Maybe can manage with 16. I am size 14 in typical US brands, and I ordered 18. Couldn’t even get it closed. I read the reviews for someone who had a similar build as mine. The medium ended up working great for me. The suit had a little bit of stretch to it, so that made the fit better. The pants were a little snug on my waist, but I have a wide/large waist. I'm 5ft 147lbs. I wore the suit to a wedding and it comfortable the whole night dancing. I loved it. I'm glad i bought it. I’m 5’3” and petite but the pants were too short in length and too long in the inseam. The crotch came a good three inches below my natural body lines. The jacket was the same. The sleeves were an inch too short. No joke, I looked at my order to be sure I didn’t order a child or teens suit on accident. Looking at the reviews it does appear to fit others really well so perhaps it’s a manufacturer inconsistency?
