I'm revising my previous review. After giving it some time and playing with it, I've figured out how to use it on my hair type (fine, wiry, wavy). I towel dry my hair so there's almost no moisture left, but not bone dry, then I emulsify this product by rubbing a fingernail size amount between my palms and fingers quickly until it becomes very warm and tacky. I work it through my hair ONCE, since overworking it makes my hair greasy, but doing it once makes it perfectly matte and held in place. I LOVE the mostly natural ingredients and how they don't leave my hair dry or sticky. I've also occasionally woken up and not had to restyle my hair that day. The scent has also really grown on me--it's kind of a subtle, natural barbershop smell that doesn't try to be your cologne.

It’s a great product! I used to jump between different brands of pomades and pastes but now I only use this product. I made the mistake of trying something new about a month ago and it couldn’t hold a candle to Rocky Mountains texture paste. Don’t make my mistake! The hold is solid and doesn’t create any stiffness in your hair. You can run your hands through your hair and still keep the shape you styled! You can easily use it for messier looks or combed hair styles. It washes out easily too! You need to use this product!

I really like the hold of this texture paste and the look it gives to my hair after I've put it on. A little bit goes a long way too. However, I let my wife and daughter smell it in the case and they didn't care for it. But the smell isn't a problem once it's applied and a quick look at ingrediants and it's apparent why: it doesn't have a lot of weird chemicals. It even has castor oil which is good for the scalp. I'm also fairly allergic to some hair products and I had no issues with this one. I will definitely buy again.

I purchased both the styling clay and texture paste based on the Amazon reviews and the company's website. I love both products! I use the texture paste in the morning and it provides all day hold. I use the styling clay mid-day to 'refresh' my hair and give it a nice once over before dinner or heading out. I have medium length hair that is naturally wavy and the texture paste (combined with lite blowdrying) straightens my hair adding volume without weighing it down. I live in Chicago and the products hold up against the wind which is a huge bonus since I do not like using hair spray. I can not recommend the products enough.

My favorite pomade. Hold is strong, smell is pleasant without being overpowering, shine is medium, performance is 10/10.

Price, quality and quantity considered: It is too expensive for a 2oz can of this, you should be getting double the amount at $12. As for the quality, it is not as good as crew and it is basically the same $ for 1oz less. This straight up smells bad. It is exactly if you turned hairspray into a paste, after a day in my hair it feels dry and crunchy. This paste is made in Canada, and their combs are made in China. Nothing Rocky Mountain about them.

I have purchased this paste several times. I’ve been really happy with it until the current can I purchased. This time the paste is clumpy and hard to work with. Really don’t think I’ll order again.

I'm a pretty normal guy. I don't go all out and make a big deal about my hair, all I want is a basic product that holds throughout the day. I've tried 4 or 5 different pastes, pomades, and forming creams over the years and most I find to be either very pricy, or just awful. This is the first time I have purchased a second batch after the first had run out. I love it, its easy, lasts a long time, mild but masculine scent, and a decent price! I will continue to use this product!

It gets rid of the dry hair look and keeps the hair in place. The fragrance is good as well. This is very much a premium product from Canada. At 52 grams the weight and size of the tin is perfect for those who like to travel. It has a screw cap so there is no danger of it opening and spilling the styling cream in your cabin luggage.

I love using this Texture Paste. It Keeps my hair soft, healthy and easy to style, and just as easy to wash off. - This is a good choice for a textured paste, it smells good and it works well for getting that wet - wild hair effect. - I use this often, switching between a wax and this paste. It gives a nice healthy shine and I know based on the ingredients I'm using a clean and safe product on my head. - The paste comes in a nifty little 2 oz round tin. It seems small but trust me this thing will last you a good couple of months even with daily use. - A single thumb size is all that's needed, rub in with the fingers and then massage onto hair. Style and done. Simple! I recommend this textured paste for strong, shiny (wet look), soft and healthy hairy that's easy to style. Great quality product and value for money. smells nice A little hard to distribute as it's very thick and sticky. Can get clumped in the hair.

Purchased this Canadian-made hair paste and was pleased with its performance. It offers a balanced hold – not too stiff, yet sturdy enough for a day's wear. Application is smooth, without leaving any greasy residue. The scent is neutral, which I appreciate. While it might not outperform some high-end brands, it certainly holds its own and delivers good value for its price point. A commendable choice for daily hair styling needs. Bought several times already.

Very hard to start but gets to a workable state. Smells isn't bad but nothing like the sandlewood smell of shaving products. Give a 3 star based on not sure different between this and clay is supposed to be. Thinking I'll stick to forming Cr though.
