Convenient, small, sturdy (very sturdy) firestarter with rod and steel. Cotton bud is tiny so you may want to replace with your own, but this will definitely hold up and be there, ready to go into action, when the emergency arrives. I'm impressed.

The compass is complete garbage. West points north.... do you have any of these with working compasses? The device is cute and tiny, seems to be made fairly well, but I havent checked to see of its waterproof or not

This is a good product thus far. I was able to start a cotton pad after a few strikes. I think a bigger striker would be easier but it did the job. That's the point. The compass is a bit dainty... not sure how accurate it is but that is not what I got it for. I know it'll come in handy when I need it.

Very nice little fire starter. About the size of a bic ink pen around, slightly more, but smaller around than a sharpie. Compass is actually pretty nice. Love it

Great product so far. Haven't been able to start an actual fire with it yet but I think that's my fault. One thing that I didn't really like was the compass attachment. Which doesn't really work and was pointing in the wrong direction.
