MAYFLASH Universal Arcade Fighting Stick F500 for Switch/Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Windows, macOS, Android, Raspberry Pi, Steam Deck, PS Classic, NEOGEO Mini

I had bought a Razer Atrox for Xbox one the first one the lid was cracked when I opened the box got a second one after 2 days of use the lid on it cracked took it back and got the last one GameStop had opened the box and the lid on that one was also cracked. So I bought this MAYFLASH F500 not sure what I would get as this was $120.00 cheaper than the Razer. I was surprised that this one seem to be made better than the Razer. Had good weight to it and work with all my fighting games. The one thing it has that the Razer dose not have is a Head Phone jack and that I like has I like to play my games with my headset so I don't trouble my wife. The joystick feels good and the buttons are smooth and responsive. Also having a PS4 I don't have to buy two sticks. I would say this is a great stick for the money. If I feel like I need to I can always get the Sanwa joystick and buttons and put them in which is nice. It just go to show that it dose not always have to be a big name $200.00 arcade stick to work good. P.S. update. Just got the Magicboots for Xbox one and it works great no more having to plug in the controller and the headphones still work. I'm now going to order the Magicboots for the PS4. This comes as a second update as I just installed the Sanwa arcade stick and Sanwa buttons and they work great this update makes this stick better than the $200.00 Razer Atrox that I tried. With the magicboots for the Xbox one & PS4 you can't get a better stick for the money. This is a must buy if you are into DIY updates. I will say that Mayflash is going to be coming out with a F500 elite with Sanwa parts already installed next year and that comes from Mayflash support. Any way Happy Holidays and keep gaming. Update: Bought this in November 2018 first picture is stock stick next two pictures are after the Sanwa update mod. This arcade stick has worked with out any problems have been using the Xbox one magicboots. After buying all the Sanwa parts the joystick, 8- 30mm buttons, 1- 24mm button, the ribbon cable for the joystick, a 2lb spring, over sized actuator, and 8 button Sanwa silencer washers, the gray ball top. I have $185.00 in the Arcade stick which is still less than the Razor Atrox that I bought that was broken right out the box. I use this stick every day for at least 2 to 3 hrs. This has been my best investment for playing my fighting games. It's been 1yr and this arcade stick has held up way better than I thought it would and I use it everyday. So the only thing I can say is buy it mod it use it. It will work great.....

I consider myself a fighting game enthusiast but have always played on controllers or special fighting game controllers like the mad catz street fighter 4 fight pad. I think this is a great stick for anyone who wants to try out fighting sticks. It has a nice solid, heavy build with rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in my lap. It also comes with rubber feet you can install if you want it to have a little extra height and friction if you play on a table. I have no basis of comparison for the stock parts used for the lever and buttons but to me they feel great, albeit the buttons feel a little spongey. During gameplay I don't notice. It comes with a square gate preinstalled but includes an octagonal gate if you want to swap it out. There are lots of videos on youtube showing the process of opening up the stick which look very easy but I haven't done it myself. I feel confident that I could swap out everything with sanwa parts if I wanted. Mayflash also provides art templates for adobe illustrator/photoshop if you want to make custom art. It is a great universal stick, although if you want to play it on PS4 you will need to actually plug a PS4 controller into the arcade stick, then the arcade stick into the PS4. I tested it and it works. I think the same must be done for Xbox One. I have not tested on PS5 or Xbox Series X. I play primarily on PC which it works great, but I can't get it to work on Mac and I don't think playing on a Mac is possible. The biggest downside I could say about the stick is the acrylic faceplate covering the entire top of the stick. This is used to hold down the customizable art insert. As a new player I was definitely moving my hands/wrists a lot more because I didn't have proper technique to control the stick. As a result I was rubbing my wrists a lot on the acrylic which caused rashes/chaffing. Now I use gloves with gel padding in the wrist meant for protecting against carpal tunnel while typing. Any fingerless glove would work too. With gloves my experience is much better to lower the friction on my wrist, but also my technique got better so I'm not rubbing my wrists as much. Still, for the price I paid of $75, it is a great introductory stick. I definitely could upgrade with sanwa parts later on, but for the price of the sanwa parts I might want to just buy a more premium stick. Or if you don't mind spending about $40 more, just buy the Mayflash F500 Elite which is identical but comes with sanwa parts already installed. Pro: - Low price - Solid and Heavy to prevent sliding - Universal compatibility - Customizable art - Compatible with Sanwa parts - Lots of tutorial videos online to open the stick Cons: - Certain consoles will require you to plug a real controller into the stick (PS4/Xbox One) - Stock lever and buttons could feel cheap to experienced fight stick users, but should be fine for new players - No buttons for L3/R3/Left Stick/Right Stick (not a real problem for fighting games, just training mode) - Acrylic top face plate can cause chaffing

For the price, it is a really good arcade/fight stick, also really easy to mod because of it's standard sized parts.

The stick works as good as it's advertised, a great stick for beginners. I have been playing fightpad for 20 years + so switching to stick is like a new thing for me, the stick has some weight and the faceplate is bigger so it's food for bigger hand folks (like me) so that I can rest my hand on the stick. I have been playing it a few days the original buttons aren't too sensitive, I guess that's why they offer easy modifications, which I highly recommend to mod it to sanwa parts. Overall it's a great stick under decent price!
