I tried out this grass paint to spruce up some brown patches in my lawn. While it didn’t match the natural green of the grass perfectly, it was still a nice improvement over the dead spots. The 32 ounce bottle made about 4 gallon of paint, which covered a small area well. A few things to keep in mind: make sure to adjust your sprayer nozzle with just water before starting to avoid any messy application. Using disposable gloves and shoes you don’t mind turning green are a must, as the paint can be a bit splattery. It’s best to shake the bottle well to ensure an even color. For small areas, this product is convenient and a bit of a fun DIY. I used a circular motion until the grass looked slightly wet, which helped achieve a more even coating. Plan out your path ahead to avoid stepping on freshly painted spots. In terms of cons, I found the process a bit time-consuming and felt the price could be better. For larger areas, it may not be worth the effort, and I don’t think I’d go through this process again. However, for small spots, it works fairly well and is worth a try if you’re looking to touch up a few dead areas.

UPDATE 8/18/24- The last picture is after watering 2 times and then last night, we had a thunder/lightning storm with torrential rain for over an hour. Today, we had another brief storm with hail and rain. As you can see by the picture, the paint has held up extremely well and the grass still looks lush and green. Get this paint! It works!! Original review - Since our city is under watering restrictions, I can only water the lawn Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. We've had some very hot days and much to my dismay, my lawn was getting brown. I had tried a different brand of lawn paint and it didn't look good (almost a neon green and some parts of grass were a weird light green) and I could tell that it wasn't good for the grass. I did some more research and ordered PetraMax max strength grass paint. Unfortunately, I don't have a battery pump sprayer, so I mixed up the paint and put it in a hand held trigger spray bottle. That took a very long time to complete my entire lawn but for me it was worth it. This paint blends so nicely with the grass. Even up close with the sun on it, it looks real and not fake. I did order a battery pump sprayer and will go over the lawn again. (Lol) It dried very quickly and when I ran my hand over the grass, there wasn't any transfer of paint to my hand. I did wear disposable gloves and even though I did not get any paint on me, it would be good to wear old clothes and shoes. It does wash off your skin very easily though. Mix it up in a place where you don't mind if it drips. I used a cardboard box to set everything in. I watered my lawn the next morning and the paint didn't run off or fade. Hoping for it to last a few weeks or longer. If you're looking for a realistic looking lawn paint, this is the one to get!

This stuff works wonders, on any dead patches it completely covers it up. Be careful not to have any leak on pathways. It stays on for a long time and gives a dark green color that will make the neighbours jealous!

Used this grass paint for my really, really sad lawn. Sparse, burnt looking lawn "no matter how much water we gave it". I was frustrated because I knew it would cost big bucks to have Pro's come in and start from scratch. This Grass Paint really did make a positive change for less than $250. I did my front and side lawns in about 4 hours (including Prep & clean up). It's been two months since I used grass paint on my lawn and it is still looking green and healthy. Next year I will spend the $250 and just paint my grass again (no stress).

Barely produced any green color in the grass. Made a huge mess on the stone patio, and it won’t come off the stone easily. Slightly pigmented grass looked bey fake. Not worth the hassle.
