It was sad for me to see it sitting lonely and unused in a corner of my garage. One day, I decided to investigate what it would take to fix it. I came across these, and placed my order. When I received them, I immediately noticed something simple this had that the original didn't: a screw holding the plastic shell together. AMAZING! Also, it has a light that tells you when the +12V is flowing. Bonus! I cut the wires, crimped the wires together, and applied copious heatshrink and covered the joint with the plastic sheath these came with, and yet more heatshrink, because I just don't want another fire. So far, so good! Works great, and I have absolutely no clue what to do with the second one. Now it sits in the corner of my garage, lonely and waiting for its turn to shine, when another accessory inevitably comes with a crummy lighter plug that needs replacement.
