I have been trying to find a good tai chi shoes for 2 years. Searched YouTube etc, no satisfaction, until now. I usually have to get wide, this one is not, but stretches well and fits despite my feet being different sizes as well. I ordered a 12 mens and got exactly that. Price is good and a few days wait is worth it.Most will know the old standard brown soled hard rubber with clothe top, or white clothe on bottom. Great shoes but stretch out fast. I feel these won't. One catch may be they are slightly taller than those in the sole height, reallt not an issue.If you have been looking, Enjoy!

Shoes look okay (don't look too closely). Fit is okay. Shoe may be just a tad narrow, but certainly in acceptable range. Sole is fairly hard plastic/rubber, so they are a bit noisy to walk in. Grip seems adequate as I have noticed no tendency to slide. The question is how long they are going to last. Very light canvas. "Tongue" wants to fold under when inserting the foot. Have to hold it up while sliding foot into shoe. No padding around collar or rear, so this appears it will likely rapidly. But, what can one expect for a shoe that costs barely over $10. I miss the better made Basic Editions shoes that are apparently no longer available. **** UPDATE **** After only two months of indoor only use, the soles of both shoes has split across the ball of the foot. THESE SHOES ARE TRASH!

These shoes are perfect. They used to make them in Brasil, but the model has been descontinued tem years ago. Since then, I searched for shoes with a short rubber stripe in front of the toe, which's nail shoul find resistence against the canvas tissue, not against the rubber stripe. It doesn't matar if the shoes go ruined, your feet won't. They fit a little short (my feeet are 10 1/2 and I ordered 11), but they will (kind of) adapt to your feet size. I drop some alcoholl on my feet with shoes and they get fitted to your feet in a pair or hours. I used to buy many pairs and they lasted over two years, being washed every after use. I live by the beach and use them even to go into the sea or working out inside the pool. I know perfectly that we are not talking about a waterproof shoe, but it is enough for light activities. Not good for walking, but I do that with the help of soft shoe insoles.

Light, comfy, compact. Perfect for a spare/emergency pair in the car, gym bag, at the office etc. Ever since manufacturers got hep to how fast that white sole border gets filthy and you'll need a new pair to not look like a bum, the old-timers with black "bumpers" have been almost impossible to find. Priced very competitively, too! If you like this design, don't pass these up. If you waffle between two sizes, say, 10-1/2 & 11, etc., get the larger of the two.
