As others have stated, this unit does not include the HDMI cables. I preferred that it did not so I could get the right length of cable and choose something that will hold up long term. To give you an idea of the overall size, the dimensions are close to what a flip phone would be except height. If you stack 2 flip phones, it would be close to the height. Setup was easy and it works both with my Logi unifying receiver and my Microsoft 2.4Ghz. Cabling for the USB connection is about 4 feet in length so plenty based on my needs. Where it falls a bit short is the power cable is about 1.5 feet and draws power from USB. For most, this will be a problem. I found that unit works without the power cable so at this point I am using it without the power cable. I will buy a usb extension to give it more length. It would be better if the power wasn't one of the "barrel" or round power connectors so I could use an existing cable. Switching between laptops is 1-2 seconds is acceptable and seems to vary with the laptop and sleep settings rather than the KVM. Because of it's small size you want to have cable warps/ties since you will have 4 x 2 cables coming out of the back, (HDMI and USB per), 1 power, and the switch. This unit has a push button switch that is directly connected via USB to micro USB. Cable length is about 3-4 feet for it and plenty. In the event of switch failure, there are buttons on the front to go directly to the device. However, having a button to cycle through each device also would have been a great addition. Overall, I'm very happy with the device and would recommend it to others who need a KVM sharing a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Both of my mice and keyboards are wireless and this has been an issue for previous KVMs I tried but this one works fine.

I looked over several HDMI-based KVMs designed for computers and finally selected this one and am glad I did. It is well built, being housed in a study metal box. The unit actually seems fairly heavy. The box also has several small LED lights for each PC that clearly show the status for the HDMI/USB links. In addition to this, one item I didn't notice in the advertisement is the small, rectangular 4-button box that hooks to the main unit using a short micro-USB cable. This rubberized "switch box" allows you to make the changes by pushing one of the four buttons on the top. It has a nice, sticky bottom to it so it doesn't move around on the desk. This small, rubberized box makes it easier to switch among computers than pushing the vertical buttons on the front of the main unit. I'm using the USB-power input to power this KVM with a high quality Apple 12w USB power supply. Note that this KVM supplies a special cable to power the unit but does *not* include the USB power supply. That's fine with me because I only use high quality USB power supplies with my equipment to reduce technical problems. My use involves frequent switching between a Mac desktop, Windows desktop and a Windows laptop using 1080p resolution. At this resolution, the switching has been fast and seamless with no glitches on the switchover. I'm also using my own high quality USB-B cables (though 5 USB cables were supplied) along with high quality HDMI cables for all the video connections. I'm giving this KVM 5-stars for now because of it's excellent features, build quality and performance. It it conks out, I'll drop the rating but for now I'm really loving this HDMI-based KVM!

I have had a couple KVM switch boxes that were cheaper and purchased on ebay. None of them lasted very long. I have high hopes for this one. It is a little disappointing that it is only USB 2.0, but that's what you get in this price range. Remote for switching works fine & I have added a hub for more USB ports. UPDATE: 320 days into ownership the device no longer recognizes mouse or keyboard. It does switch the video, but neither mouse nor keyboard connect to the selected input. I have checked cables and power supply - not the problem. BTW, it's a wired mouse & keyboard. You may see in the product description that the device includes a two year warranty - without adding any contact information. Amazon customer service provided a U.S. phone # which is answered by a machine & you leave a message. Amazon also gave me an email address. No response from my email. As yet no call-back. If you check the Tendak Facebook page, the contact information is a Chinese mainland phone #, and the same email that Amazon customer service provided. So, if the warranty service really does exist, you can't prove it by me.
