It’s the perfect blend of play and early learning for toddlers, especially in the 1.5 to 3-year-old range. 🚂 Engaging and Easy to Handle The chunky train pieces are perfectly sized for little hands (page 1), and the bright, bold colors instantly caught my toddler’s attention. As seen on page 3, each numbered brick is designed to stack easily, and the wagons roll smoothly across hard floors or rugs. 🔢 Teaches Numbers and Colors Naturally What I love most is how it integrates learning into play. My child now points at the numbers and repeats them during playtime—totally unprompted! According to the educational summary (page 2), the set promotes number recognition, color sorting, and basic motor skills, and it delivers on all fronts. 🐶 Adorable Figures for Storytelling The included DUPLO figures (boy, girl, and dog) are a huge hit. They’re not just decoration—they bring the set to life. My little one uses them to “ride the train,” “feed the dog,” and act out all kinds of fun scenarios (as shown on page 3). 🧼 Super Durable and Easy to Clean This is toddler-proof. The blocks have survived multiple drops, gnawing sessions, and even an accidental bath. They come out looking brand new every time. Plus, they’re compatible with other DUPLO sets for expanded play (page 2). ✅ Pros: Excellent for teaching counting and color recognition Great size and durability for toddlers Cute characters add storytelling value Encourages sorting, stacking, and problem-solving ❌ Cons: Honestly, none. It’s well thought-out and well made Overall: This is a must-have first LEGO set for toddlers. Whether your goal is early education or just fun, this train set keeps kids engaged and learning. It’s become a daily favorite in our house—and definitely earns a full 5 stars! Review: One of his favorites, but what I really value is DUPLO as a brand - This train is one of my toddler’s favorite LEGO sets, but honestly, what I most want to highlight here is not only this specific model, but why I keep choosing LEGO DUPLO over cheaper alternatives. When it comes to toys for toddlers, it is not enough for me that pieces simply fit together or look cute. What I care most about is manufacturing consistency, real safety, and durability. In the United States, toys sold legally must comply with safety requirements... Even so, there are still meaningful differences between brands in quality control, tolerances, materials, and production consistency. That is where LEGO DUPLO stands out to me. LEGO provides relatively clear information about materials and safety, explains that its products are tested to comply with and often exceed the strictest global requirements, and in its materials information states that the classic LEGO brick primarily uses ABS. DUPLO specifically also emphasizes rigorous safety assessments and full manufacturing control. In practical terms, that gives me more confidence in things like how consistently the pieces fit together, how well they hold up over time, and the overall traceability of the product. With cheaper brands, I often cannot find the same level of clarity around basic details that matter to me, such as materials, compliance information, or traceability. I am not saying every other brand is bad, but when my priority is a very young child, I would rather pay more for a brand that gives me greater confidence in those areas. As for the train itself, I think it is an excellent set: engaging, visually appealing, easy for little hands to handle, and useful for much more than just learning numbers. But the reason I would buy it again is not only because it is cute or because my child loves it. It is because it belongs to a building system that, to me, remains one of the best options when the priority is real safety, durability, and consistency. ## Features - This educational toy for toddlers 1 .5 years old is a new version of the iconic LEGO DUPLO Number Train toy with more colorful fun than ever - The LEGO DUPLO My First Number Train - Learn To Count toy features 10 DUPLO number bricks carried in the carriages of the push-along train toy - Kids can learn to load the DUPLO number bricks onto the train toy in the correct order, and unload them again to improve their fine motor skills - The train set also includes a boy, girl and dog LEGO DUPLO figures to help inspire imaginative role play and education in a fun and easy way - The LEGO DUPLO number bricks can be arranged in many ways and used along with the DUPLO figures to help young kids learn to count from 0 - 10 - With its cute characters and easy-to-handle DUPLO bricks, this train toy for learning numbers is an ideal gift for kids 1 .5 plus years old ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08YP9JRHP | | Additional Features | Lightweight | | Age Range Description | 1½+ | | Best Sellers Rank | #5,118 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #78 in Sorting & Stacking Toys #243 in Toy Building Sets | | Brand Name | LEGO | | Color | Multicolor | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 5,672 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Creative Thinking | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00673419338233 | | Included Components | LEGO Building Elements | | Item Dimensions | 13.94 x 7.52 x 3.58 inches | | Item Highlight | Building Toys for Toddlers, Ages 1.5+, Learning & Cognitive Skills Development, 23 Pieces, Gift for Birthdays | | Item Type Name | Building Kit | | Item Weight | 1.2 pounds | | Manufacturer | LEGO | | Manufacturer Part Number | 6332184 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 18 months and up | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Number Train - Learn To Count 10954 | | Model Number | 6332184 | | Model Year | 2021 | | Number of Pieces | 23 | | Size | 23 | | Sub Brand | DUPLO My First | | Subject Character | Dog | | Target Audience | unisex | | Theme | LEGO DUPLO | | Toy Building Block Type | Interlocking Toy Building Block | | UPC | 673419338233 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![DUPLO Number Train - Learn to Count 10954 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81fTXzMBZhL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this train be used with duplo track purchased separately?** A: No. Not sure why people answer that don't know what they are talking about, but I bought this and then also 10882 and 10872 (both duplo train track sets) and the train doesn't fit. **Q: is this compatible with duplo train tracks?** A: No. I bought this and then also 10882 and 10872 (both duplo train track sets) and the train doesn't fit. It sort of works on the regular pieces, but derails pretty easily and doesn't work on the ramps or switches. These aren't compatible. **Q: What size are the individual pieces?** A: The playset measures over 3.5 in. (10 cm) high and 18.5 in. (47 cm) long and combines easily with other LEGO DUPLO sets to inspire even more imaginative play possibilities (looked up on target site 😅) Pretty big pieces though..I have a 2 year old and I'm not afraid of choking on them. My daughter loves it. **Q: Does it fit on the duplo tracks?** A: No. I bought this and then also 10882 and 10872 (both duplo train track sets) and the train doesn't fit. It sort of works on the regular pieces, but derails pretty easily and doesn't work on the ramps or switches.
