Yes you can. I brought my bag on a Southwest airliner with no problem.

I usually carry about 6 hanging items on it and my work belt without any problem, there’s still a ton of room left

How long will it last? Can it rip easily? I will use it at least 2xs a week.

Cannot determine how long it will last the material seems to be durable and very light weight. It would not rip easily. I only use for suits and really didn’t need one this long. 45-50 inch would fit my needs better. Overall for the price it serves my purpose

Can this be monogrammed

I don't think it's the type and quality of material that you would monogram. But it's a nice lightweight garment bag, which was a good price for the product.
