No adapation reset
It reads and resets alarms. My car is Discovery 3 V8 2005. The moment it starts to read VIN, the DSC/ETC and Park Break alarms lit up for no reason. When read live data engine struggles to rev above 2000 to 3000. I think price may be little too high for the available functions. It has android tab functions of which I do not use. Touch screen is nice.

Impressed with the scanner
I like to do all my own work to my 2016 vw passat my previous scanner wouldn’t communicate with the module so I figured I would try this out for half the price of an autel and I got to say I’m impressed. Came in a timely manner only issue with shipping was there was no tracking.

Decent UI, poor mechanical design
I like the concept of the product. It was simple to update and register. Mechanically, the cable is inferior and became stuck in the ODB2 port of my car. I had to remove it using tooling.In the photo, the supplied cable is on the left. A cable from a competitor is on the right (blue). The supplied cable is missing the tab (bump) which avoids the cable becoming attached to the car. The iCarsoft cable has a hole which grabs the tab in the car.Forums (BMW owners) confirm the issue and many modify the cable by cutting from the hole to the end, creating a notch which will avoid the cable locking into the plug.I do not see spending this kind of money to have them cheap out on the cable. There isn’t support for strain-relief that you can see in the blue cable from the competition. That competitor is a cheap $60 scanner. Cost points aren’t hard. The cables are not swappable - the iCarsoft unit uses a much smaller connector at the unit.They were initially responsive, but went dark very fast.I’m evaluating a competitive unit and this may be getting returned due to inferior mechanical workmanship and poor support.
