Very effective
I am honestly obsessed with this Vitamin C. From the first few uses, my skin looked brighter, smoother, and so much more even. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any sticky feeling. It layers perfectly under my moisturizer and makeup. I also love that it doesn’t irritate my skin at all — just a healthy glow every morning. This has definitely become a staple in my routine. Highly, highly recommend!

Holy grail serum, with natural acne-fighting and photoprotection ingredients, in a great formulation
I love vitamin c. I have used a thousand serums in my routine, but I’ve never been extremely happy with the results. Not even with the uber-famous (and uber-expensive) SkinCeuticals ferulic. The reason is that the form of vitamin they use (ascorbic acid) is unstable and sensitive to air/light, so they lose since day one the magic. Also, for extremely sensitive people, Ascorbic acid might be irritating/drying. But Still, vitamin c is an all-time star ingredient: protects skin from sun damage, repairs existing damage, and has amazing anti-aging properties (in vivo studies show reduction in wrinkles, dark spots, texture..) let aside the glow. So I decided to change and add the Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate variation. The effects are almost identical, it's gentle, AND most importantly, it's not prone to oxidation at all, so the shelf-life is much much longer. That’s how I found this little gem: a perfect formulated serum, both in ingredients, and PH. And after the first week, I was totally in love. Personally, I’m a fan of minimalist products in skincare, meaning the less unnecessary fillers, the better. This is why I love cerave, and this is also why I love mad Hippie: it has a short ingredient list, but ultra loaded with good stuff for the skin. The formula has a whopping 10% vitamin c(Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate-SAP). Maybe you think, why I use this instead of or regular C, backed by tons of research? According to science, SAP gets converted into ascorbic acid in the skin anyway. Also, multiple clinical trials have shown additional acne-fighting benefits that Ascorbic Acid does not. Short story, scientists know that lipid peroxidation (i.e. the oxidation of sebum) plays a MAJOR role in the development of acne, comedones and inflammation related to acne. Well, it turns out that SAP reduces sebum oxidation by up to 40% Also, it’s not irritation. Regular Ascorbic Acid requires an inherently low pH to be effective, so it can be irritating if your skin is not used to chemical exfoliation. In fact, over exfoliation leads to destroyed moisture barrier. It also has vitamin e, that works in combination with c for photo protection against UV rays (premature aging, and potential damage to DNA), inhibits tyrosinase thereby reducing dark spots. As SkinCeuticals, it also has ferulic, that works synergistically with C and E for photo protection by inhibiting free radical formation and absorbs UV radiation. The super humectant, Hyalyrinuc acid is also part of the formul,a a well-known humectant, as well as Aloe Vera( antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, lightening, and healing properties). Konjac Root Powder (It has a ton of vitamins and minerals including A, E, C, D, B, copper, magnesium, iron, niacin, zinc, folic acid etc) Grapefruit (Antioxidant, antifungal, and secondary preservative. May have natural and gentle exfoliating properties) Chamomile Extract (flavonoids for sensitive skin, and inhibits free radical synthesis, and i vasodilator (i.e. increases blood flow to skin), Clary Sage (antioxidant and antimicrobial). This serum is fantastic, also it has a very subtle scent, and has slippery texture that dries matte, non tacky at all (hello skinceuticals, ) So, if you are looking for a new addition to you routine, looking for extra hydration and photoprotecton and avoiding dryness, try this, it has totally changed my skin for good!

This is a great product for your face!
Wonderful for your face. It is so easy to put on, you'll never forget, moisture is so good for my face just a drop is good. I apply my sunscreen right after the Vit C and it is very effective. The size bottle will last for a while so it is a great value. this product absorbs very quickly and out to the world you go.

Good for sensitive skin, acne, perioral dermatitis
So, I have very very sensitive skin and have acne and perioral dermatitis, both of which worsen hormonally. I had great skin up until a few years ago (am 26 now), not sure what happened but I'm trying to fix it. So the first thing that I can say in favor of this product is that it doesn't irritate my skin, which may not sound like a big deal but really is. If my skin can handle it, I think most people's can. I do need to follow it with a moisturizer fairly quickly or it can be a bit drying, but that's not really unusual for a serum. I bought it in the hopes of, I don't know, improving ANY of the problems on my face (cystic acne, tiny bumps on chin and forehead, PD, acne scars, broken capillaries). One bottle lasted me almost 3 months of pretty consistent morning and evening application. I didn't really notice a difference with time, and I certainly didn't notice a difference immediately. So when I ran out a few weeks ago, I didn't reorder it. Fast-forward to now, and my skin has gotten way worse again. It's been in gradual decline since I stopped using the serum. I think I didn't realize it at the time because it was a very gradual improvement, and my skin was still nowhere near perfect. But it really did make a difference. I wasn't acne free, but I had much less, specifically less cystic acne on my cheeks (which is the kind that has left scars). My PD wasn't gone, but it was calmer and much less flaky. It didn't get rid of any scars, but it definitely reduced the appearance of my broken capillaries slightly (as in pinkish vs reddish). I'm fairly convinced that there is a nutritional issue of some sort at the heart of all of my skin problems, so I don't think it's fair for me to ever expect a topical product to fix them all completely and have rated this product accordingly. I will be reordering though because I do think that it helped somewhat, and I feel like if I figure out and correct whatever the underlying cause is, this serum might actually do a lot considering the little it has already accomplished. So for those with sensitive/problem skin like mine, I'd say give it a shot but be patient. And for everybody else, I bet it's amazing! Also, for anyone else with very sensitive skin and/or PD, I highly recommend Osmia Organics (specifically the black clay facial soap and the purely simple moisturizer). They're the only other products that I've tried (and I've tried many, prescription and otc) that also don't irritate my skin.

Glowing skin
I was recommended this by a friend and I’m so glad I tried it. My skin has improved so much since starting this. I felt like I had dull lifeless skin before but it now is glowing. I also have very sensitive skin and this hasn’t irritated me at all. Also, this has a higher concentration of vitamin c for a better price compared to a lot of other brands. I apply it on damp skin, let it fully dry and do the rest of my skin care over it. Worth trying out!

Effective!
Second time purchasing this bottle and had to leave a review! The serum is so light and refreshing, every time you apply it to your skin it’s spreads so easily and doesn’t feel tacky as it dries! You don’t even know it’s there once it fully absorbs into your skin. Immediately after application you you can notice the subtle glow on your skin. It most notably helps reduce darkness and puffiness around my eyes!

This is good
I am one of those people who like to try new facial and Hair products. Mad Hippie is not new to me but I stopped using this sometime ago to switch to Image Vital C.Having a big family there is quit a variety of facial products at our home since we all for the most part use what each of us like. While I love the Image line and find it really delivers the wow factor I just got tired of dishing out 20 something dollars every few weeks for the vital c serum that is about half this size.I just threw out the empty dropper bottle today.Anyway so now that I have restarted with Mad Hippie I'm really liking it.It is a thicker consistency than image ,the bottle is bigger ,the price factor is much more reasonable. I have found this to absorb rather quickly into my skin but it did feel a little dry and my face definitely felt tighter than I wanted. However I have started noticing the brightening effect this had and I do like that .I like it's not oily at all and I don't smell any scent .I do use this after washing my face twice daily and than I use the Image vital c face cream after this serum is applied. I really find this to deliver the same results as I had gotten with Image and I like that it's thicker ,where Image is on the thin watery side .So it's been a short time that I'm back using this my skin is loving it .I can't say it has helped with those fine lines but its definitely leaving my skin hydrated and with a nice little natural glow.I only wear mascara and lipstick so I do appreciate this delivers the brightening effect.I have never used Mad Hippies facial soap or the face cream but I ordered that and it's enroute so I'm very anxious to give that a try ,especially with all the great reviews I read. This one I definitely will stick with since I personally think the two are very much in comparison. Happy to be back using a great product at a much better price.Thank you Mad Hippie ! Now only if I can get my Daughter to switch as well she would find this works great and she would save a few dollars!!!
