Used to love these. Something changed and the last 4 times I've ordered them they just don't work. They were so good before that I tried 4 steerage new purchases hoping it was a fluke, but they're a waste of money today.

After seeing numerous negative reviews of similar products, I opted for the Striking Viking version as I have used other products of theirs and had some hope their beard filler would actually perform. Not to be. As many other users have stated, the pens dry out after only a very short time and no efforts to revive them were successful, although the instructions were followed to a "T". The first of the two pens in the package worked for about thirty seconds before becoming totally nonfunctional. Replacing the tips as instructed worked for only a few strokes. After giving up all hope on the first pen, attempts to use the second pen in the package proved no better.Whatever the reason for the essentially total failure of this product, it has to be corrected before anyone can have any real confidence in this item. As is, it seems to rank right down there with all the other similar products as far as performance goes. Not surprisingly, this SV item is made in you-know-where (crap product capital of the world as it seems) where quality control has gone to die. Only recourse now is to try to find another brand of beard filler that actually works and lasts a respectable amount of time given the cost.

The Viking beard pencil filler works really well for filling in patchy spots and defining my beard shape. It’s easy to apply, blends smoothly, and looks natural—not overly dark or fake. The included brush helps even everything out for a clean, sharp finish. Plus, having a 2-pack is great value. It holds up well throughout the day without smudging. Perfect for daily grooming or special occasions. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a fuller, well-groomed look!

This product is a good price but here are some good and bad things about it[BAD] - Dries out super fast if cap falls off[BAD] - Cap falls off very easily[GOOD] - Stays on for a very long time and definitely smudge and water poof[GOOD] - makes it look like theirs actually hair instead of a smear[IN BETWEEN] - The way the points are use for the pen are a up side and downside they can easily get stuff in their or easily fall outRATING 6-7/10 (definitely could find better ones for a higher price)(Maybe recommend to a friend)

I have bought this product over and over and will continue to do so. I love it. There are 3 things to consider before using this product. 1) This isn’t a magic fix if you can’t grow a beard. That’s genetics and it is what it is. 2) It will give your beard a darker and fuller look. I use it primarily for small areas in my beard that don’t grow as full as I would like. 3) It will take some practice to get a “natural” look. Don’t press too firm and use quick light strokes to accomplish that “natural” look. Use a beard brush to lightly comb over your beard and make the strokes look even better. This product is water proof and mostly sweat proof. After a hard gym session or sizzling heat, it may smudge a little bit. Easy fix is to lightly wipe your face with a damp towel/cloth/wipe, brush your beard, reapply, and brush again. If you are using beard oil before it seems this product does not apply as well and using oil/balm right after applying the pen will smudge the pen strokes.All in all this product is a Simple, small, and convenient for on the go and daily use. I simply cannot say how much I love this product. A simple and effective boost of self-esteem in a pen. If you have a few minor details in your beard you would like to look fuller I would absolutely recommend this product. Again, this product is NOT for those who don’t have facial hair to work with. It’ll end up looking like you took a sharpie to your entire face to make a “beard” lol.

Because I have used the products before they are good. Butttt the last two beard fillers were dry. They are markers but they were out of ink when received

The package comes with two pencils and both stopped working in less than a week, even though they still have ink. They simply won’t draw anymore. This has been my worst purchase of the year. I’ve used beard pencils from other brands like Pacinos that have lasted me over a year — same size, way better quality. Either I received a defective batch or this is just a bad product. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and I’m definitely never buying it again.
