This dirt is AWESOME!! And it's real dirt/loam. Not like some others I've tried that say they are gardening soil but are mixed with mulch...more mulch than dirt! If you want the real farmland countryside dirt this is it! I live in the high desert Southwest where good soil like this is impossible to find. Thank you Ebenshade's for a true quality organic dirt! I had been disappointed so many times before that I really didn't expect much. You restored my faith in online purchases of such items!

I can tell a difference between in the plants that I potted in this and another product. I didn't order a big enough bag and ran to the store to buy the organic product they had on hand. Big difference. The plants did better in this potting mix and if I had been skeptical, I wouldn't be any longer about the quality.

We purchased numerous bags and each was completely bug-free. Our outdoor plants are doing fine, but the two indoor plants we potted subsequently developed soil gnats. The gnats did NOT come in the soil, and none of the outdoor plants developed any issues. We repotted four indoor plants in Burpee organic soil without any issue. I’m not sure if it was a drainage issue with those two pots, but we plan to use our remaining bags of Espoma soil for our outdoor containers.

I used 2 bags of this soil to fill a raised garden bed. It is the best soil I've ever used. No flies. No fungas gnats. No white worms. This is the one to buy.

I used it after warming up from the garage it had been sitting in waiting for my black rose. I use it and it’s full of sticks and branches tiny ones it seems like. I don’t like that. I like a smooth potting soil I do expect there to be some debris of sticks or wood but this was a bit much and very clumpy. I would buy something different next time. I’m sorry and thank you but I do only brutally honest reviews. I had no issues with company or customer service this is more for outdoors potting soil maybe. I usually used mericle grow I know I spelled wrong.
