Important notes to know about the Wireless Driveway Alarm 1. Weatherproof outdoor sensor with adjustable sensitivity control. 2. The sensor may be placed up to a ½ mile from the base unit in ideal condition. 3. Alerts with light and sound when vehicles or pedestrians approach within a 30 feet radius. Low battery alarm included. 4. Expandable to unlimited sensors and receivers, it is perfect for homes, businesses, properties, and worksites. 5. Super simple to set up. It takes only a few minutes to set up. Easy do it yourself installation. 6. The receiver can be charged using the included cable and AC adapter or run on with 4 AA batteries. The PIR sensor is powered by 4 AA batteries(not included). 7. This is a new version of the sensor powered by AA batteries, it does not contain a lithium battery and cannot be recharged. 8. Note: If you have previously purchased a rechargeable version, only alarms purchased after 2021 can work with the current latest version. Rechargeable driveway alarms purchased in 2021 and earlier that can not work with the current alarm system! The current system is an upgraded system. SUPER LONG RANGE EXCELLENT QUALITY EASY TO INSTALL Troubleshooting ● The PIR Motion Sensor operates, but the base station does not respond. a.Check whether the BASE station's power supply is working properly. Are the base station and sensor paired? If not paired, pair the base station and sensor. b.The distance between the sensor and the base station is too far, and the sensor signal may not be transmitted back to the base station (the working distance is 800 meters in an open environment and 400 meters in an obstructed environment) ● PIR Motion Sensor detects motion only part of the time. Set the PIR Motion Sensor Switch #2 to the high sensitivity setting. The PIR sensor detects the movements of heat sources. Please adjust the sensor eye with a horizontal angle to the engine of the car. ● The system is giving false alarms. Check for moving tree branches or insects in the sensor window and remove as necessary. PIR Motion Sensors can also be triggered by light shining directly (or reflected) into the sensor window. It is also possible that condensation has built up on the sensor. Wipe condensation from the PIR Motion sensor with a cotton swab. Detach the 4AA battery and let the sensor dry inside for a few hours, open to the air. The sensor should correct itself once dry. Check the Sensor Switches on the PIR Motion Sensor (see Switch settings.) ● The system is not getting expected transmission range. Ensure that the PIR Motion Sensors are vertically aligned, not attached to the far side of a tree, and away from metal objects. Ensure that the Base Station antenna is vertical and has the clearest possible line of site to the sensors. The fewer objects between the devices, the longer the range. I absolutely love my Hosmart motion detector system. They work perfectly and are worth more than they cost imo. I've tried several different brands of motion detectors and security cameras with built in motion detection and I can tell you that these are by far the best band for the buck. The batteries last forever, you literally never have to charge them. There are 4 different distance settings so you can tweak the range to fit exactly what you're trying to use them for. They are very responsive and have never failed any if the tests I put them through. If you're looking for a reliable and well built motion section system then you have found it. The only problem I've had with them, and it's really my fault, is that one of the detectors fell backward and it rained so water got into the detector through the lens, but it didnt stop working even then. I took it apart, displaced the water with alcohol, let it dry and its working like the day I bought it. Overall, I highly reccomend.

No no replacing batteries that's the battery so old technology backwards
The older versions were lithium you could charge them in your house and it was unbelievable how long they would last 6 months or more even through the winter which regular AC batteries die every month or two!! I don't know why in God's name they switched to regular batteries unless they bought a battery company who in today's technology wants to put batteries and stuff I wish I could find the old ones to buy they were fantastic and I can say they were the best I ever had for lasting and working properly for 50 years that I've been buying things like this. Please start making them again with lithium batteries that can be charged in your house and get rid of this battery crap

It was an additional sensor and it worked just like the advertisement said. Of course it was a rapid delivery as usual for this site. So I'm very satisfied. Good job

Great for vehicle detection, OK for human detection
I have a total of 5 of these sensor and the base station. I have them on 4 sides of my house and a they work really well for vehicle detection, but lack great detection for people at a distance of more than 15'. During the day there are alot of false alarms so we keep the volume off. Not sure why since we get them on the side of the house where there are no trees or anything to set it off. Overall, it's a force multiplier to get the jump on intruders if you have them set up at points of entry like gates or doors. Mostly happy and if you can overlook the shortfalls, then they are pretty good.

Easy setup and works well even in hilly, wooded terrain.
I purchased one sensor and one receiver in November. The setup was easy and I installed the sensor on a tree next to our driveway with a couple screws. The sensor is about 500 feet away and 50 feet downhill through the woods. Reception is no problem even with the receiver on the opposite side of the house. Remarkably, I have yet to recharge the sensor. Bear in mind it's gone through a cold Wisconsin winter on a single charge. 5 months and still on the initial charge! The receiver is a little battery hungry, it will go through 4 AA batteries in about 2weeks. I now have it plugged into a USB charger and it's working well without having to change batteries. I'm very pleased with this unit, in fact I've just ordered another receiver. Our driveway is long and the sensor does get triggered by passing deer. With another sensor placed a hundred yards or so down the driveway we will be able to tell if a car is approaching, rather than a random animal passing just the first sensor. We are extremely pleased with this product, and would highly recommend it.

Works well, even with my old eMacros reciever.
I had an old eMacros solar sensor and receiver and the sensor quit working. I ordered this to see if it would replace it. It works just like my old one did, with my eMacros receiver. They are made by the same company, so they will work with each other. I was a little surprised.

New is not always better!
This item has changed since I first bought it. The change is not good. Does not work properly (like previously bought) therefore I returned due to not being able to know when someone enters the property. Still using the old (broken eye) and it works better the any of the NeW options.

Have had this system for 2 years through thick trees works every time!!!
I think I’ve left a review before but it’s been a couple years and I came to order another addition to the unit for the back 40 trail. We have 100 acres , I reviewed drive alarms and security cams extensively but I don’t leave my wifi on 24/7 so that rules a lot out. So we got an extra couple dogs. The ups guy still made it to my front deck as you will see in the picture …that’s a long way and my dogs should be fired. So we got geese. They aren’t reliable either. So we got guinea hens. They are very loud….but they alert for a car the same as the cat or a turkey vulture so that wasn’t reliable either . We should have just saved all the money and critters and tried these first lol I took a chance on these never thinking they would really work consistently with the 250’ of bush to the road. It does every single time, every car for 2 years in Ontario Canada where we can get crazy snow and low temps. I’ve had to change batteries once I think. Yes they will alert for deer, coyote or my kid walking to the school bus but that’s ok. I want to know what’s coming up and down my lane regardless. It gives me enough time to go to the window or throw my boots on to me the Amazon driver . Plus you can position a trail cam or cell cam in a locked box near the alarm for added security. We also use one on the chicken coop. I will know in the night if something is trying to break in . If I let the chickens and goats out to free range I can just put a piece of painters tape over the sensor to stop it during the day . I am also moving one to our horse run so I know when the pony is coming down and around to the back door for his special feed. I’m tired of running down the stairs to see if he’s there yet. Lots of ways to use these especially in the country for 4 legged, 2 legged, or vehicular traffic .

Best sensors
These sensor work very well. Picked up deer in the yard. Only problem is some adults figured out radio wave they are on so every time they drove by they set them off. Game to them. Would set off 20 to 30 times a day. Had to take them down. Put them in the house and they did the same thing. Every time a certain car went by he would set them off
