Prompt Me: Creative Writing Journal & Workbook (Prompt Me Series)

I wanted to get back into writing but struggled with ideas. This had good prompts. I liked the variety of the prompts and also how open ended they were. I enjoyed writing with this book.

If I could give this more stars I would this is fantastic I'm currently in the process of writing a novel and without this I would still be stuck in writer's block it's fantastic. I don't know how many times I can tell anyone struggling from writer's block or even just wanting to write but not knowing what to write about how amazing this product is I've only been using it for a few days but still I feel like my mind is clear. Instead of writing inside of it I've been using a notebook that way I can use the prompts over and over and over again it's definitely worth it and just from one prompt I've gotten a lot accomplished in my own writing I've also seen the path that I want to take my story definitely well recommended for anyone children adults alike.

I'm an 82 year old actor, director, and wanna' be writer. Neuropathy keeps me from doing the activities I have always enjoyed. However, I've seen that I can still learn! This book gives numerous ideas to get you actually writing. The suggestions given for writing a one page story are challenging and for me, require some thought and effort, but I'm serious about this writing thing because in my 82 years I've experienced a lot and have a lot to share. This book is giving me assignments which are teaching me how to share my thoughts in a way that will get the attention of my listening audience. If writing because you have something to share with others is a dream of yours, then this book just may be for you.

Has a wide variety of prompts the help develop writing skills and to help overcome writers block.

This book is great for creative writing. I sat in my room read a couple of lines in the book itself and began writing until I got writers block.

Simply not what I expected. The pictures are decent and the phrases are okay.

I really enjoyed the variety of exercises included. Although some aren't working for me yet, like say the picture prompts, I like that you're not limited to simply that and you can move on to starting off with one of the other types of exercises to get you started. :) I would only recommend adding a little more direction for each prompt but then again that allows for there to be no restrictions in how to go about each.

This prompt book was VERY helpful for me to reconnect to my voice. I hadn't written since college, and after doing a few prompts a week, I was approached to cowrite a play based on my short stories which all came from this book. Grateful to this book and I plan to pull it out in the future when I get stumped.

Daughter with dyslexia (etc) likes very much. I don't have to work on her to write and there are zero complaints. She was immediately comfortable and happy with the format and guidelines -- very pleased with this purchase.Thank you!

It’s ok. I was hoping for something more substantial. This does the job at a basic level. Paper isn’t so great and the book is very ‚school book‘ style.

I got one each for my girls. My youngest seems to really like hers

Some of the prompts seemed to be a little difficult to get the writing flowing, however, this was a gift, not for me, so perhaps a writer-in-training would feel differently.
