So, I read a lot of reviews before buying this. After having used this product 3 times, I find that most negative reviews are user error. First of all, if you are pale, like I naturally am. I am irish, I am as pale as it gets, however, I have been tanning a while so I have a great tan going on. I typically use Ed Hardy Coconut Kisses, mainly because I wanted my skin to actually tan as well as it could without any bronzer psyching me out. I reached a plateau and decided to get this to use a few times then alternate. It is working great to give me a little boost. This stuff is NOT for pale people. You NEED a good base tan before you go to an intense bronzer. If you want more immediate results then you should not be bed tanning, you should be self or spray tanning, because that is exactly what you will be doing if you use this on pale skin. Anyone who is streaking or staining is either too pale and/or not applying correctly. (PS we can see in your photos you are too pale). I used this with zero streak or stain anywhere. I do not wash my hands after applying I merely wipe my palms on the towel and wipe off excess between my fingers. There is no stain anywhere on my hands, not even around my nails. Also, it's not rocket science to take off your rings when you apply tanning lotion. I noticed several had bad staining around rings. First of all, you're trapping all that under there, of course it will probably stain. Second, it is terrible for your jewelry to cover it with lotion unless you enjoy constantly cleaning them to remove the nasty build up in all the crevices. So, if you're too pale, get some color first before you use this. Apply properly. Don't use so much product that it won't rub in fully, and remove your jewelry. A simple wiping of hands on a towel, between fingers and the Palms should be suffienct to remove excess product and prevent staining. As for the consistency, I thought it was perfect, thick and creamy but rubs in well and quickly. I felt it dried fairly quickly as well. Of course, I don't use too much product though. The smell I thought was nice, I tend to like fruity smells but this was good and it smells nice after tanning. I didn't smell like burnt popcorn or anything (as my 9 year old daughter has claimed previously with other lotions lol) , it still smelled the same. Over all, I loved the lotion and pleased with my purchase and the price. I will repurchase to rotate with my coconut kisses. Also... to comment on receipt of product. It came perfectly intact, shrink wrapped in plastic and no issues as others claimed. It was a legit bottle as others tried to claim otherwise due to manufacture bottle design change. I recommend this product!

Let me start off by saying I'm no amateur when it comes to Tanning Lotions, even those with Bronzers. This product works as described. There's really nothing else to say about that. But, there are quite a few asterisks's that should be discussed. Foremost, I wouldn't advise anyone who is really fair-skinned or pasty white to start off using this product and I will go into detail why. This product has a 100X bronzer in it, And not just a developing bronzer (One that helps boost your tan's natural color as it develops), but also an instant bronzer which gives you a little glow within an hour or two of using it in the tanning bed for immediate results. With that said, Streaking and orange spots are possible with this product if not applied correctly and thoroughly. When applying this product, you need to be sure that you A. Apply evenly over the areas you wish to use it on. B. Rub it in completely. This is very important. Rub it in until your skin doesn't feel "wet" anymore. C. Areas that have thin skin will bronze quicker than other areas. These areas include Arm Pits, Kneecaps, elbows, and feet/hands and under your wrist. I would advise using a lesser amount over these areas or those spots will end up looking darker and more "orange" than the rest. Always wash your hands after applying this product. Failure to do so will result in orange palms and in between fingers due to the multiple applications/concentrated amounts. Use a mild hand soap to wash between fingers, your palms and under your fingernails and cuticles. These are easy to avoid but you can't just slather it on and hop in the tanning bed and expect a perfect finishing tan. Apply it right. If you are fair skinny/pale, I would suggest using a tanning lotion with a developer to boost your tanning color first and once you start getting a little golden, then you can use a product like this with such a high bronzer. Using this much bronzer on such pale skin will leave you orange. I have personally always used Designer Skin Products with bronzers and have never had this much issues when using this. If this seems too much for you, I would suggest going down to the Solid Black 50X Bronzer.

Great lotion! I have tried SOOOO many lotions and am always trying to find new favorites. I am a HUGE fan of lotions that absorb quickly without leaving my skin feeling greasy in addition to smelling good while having the ability to minimize the after tan odor as much as possible. This lotion did a pretty good job! The smell is pleasant (hard to explain, but not super fruity- thank god). I really like perfumey/soapy smelling lotions (basically, the complete opposite of the Snooki scents- although, her lotions do make you feel SO soft) and although this isn't really perfumey, it's still pleasant. I didn't notice any after tan odor at all, actually. However, the next day (I have my own bed, so I tan at night after I shower) I did notice a slight sunless tanner scent, but it wasn't horrible and wasn't something that would have kept me from wanting to use this lotion again. I haven't tanned in a LONNG time, so I am super pale and need to get a good tan before heading to the beach next week- I noticed color from the first time using this and and trust me- I am sickly looking pale (please believe). I'm confident that this lotion will get me nice and dark in the short amount of time that I have. I honestly thought that I was so pale that I would have to order a bottle of the black bottle Smoke lotion (for those of you that don't know, that stuff is the most potent DHA tanning bed lotion that exists, I think lol) to get me ready for the beach.. I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of this lotion- especially for the price!. I would definitely buy this lotion again- My only suggestion/warning is to take the time to wipe off your hands and stuff because I did notice a little bit of "orange palm" and a slight tint on my cuticles- other than that, great product for a great price.
