The color and texture appears to be spot on and they sit flush with the remainder of the controller. It was a little difficult to remove the old grips, but it wasn't too bad. Once the old ones were removed these were pretty easy to install in it's place. They do give you a small prying tool to assist with the removal of the old ones, but it still required a bit of effort. Eventually the outer ones fell off (well, got picked off). These replace the whole outer grip panel, from the trigger to the end of the grip. The panels are just clipped onto the controller, there are no screws or anything like that. It's a little nerve wracking getting the first one off, it does take a bit of force and working down them (I used a guitar pick), but once it's off, and you have a good sense of where the clips & tabs are, the other one is easier. These just snap on. They fit absolutely perfectly, and make the controller look & feel brand new.
