is there a way to remove the "washer collar" from the wein 625?

Use a 675 zinc-air hearing aid battery you get 10 for the price of 1 or 2 weinCells and each lasts as long, at worst 2/3 as long. It doesn't have the collar and fits everywhere a weincell does.

Yes. I have 3 canon ftb ql and 1 Canon ft ql cameras and they do work in them all.
