So far, so good
Whilst looking for a replacement microwave for the 37 year old GE Spacemaker II (back then they knew how to build things so they'd last), reading the one-star reviews on ALL of them is enough to give you the shivers, one ultimately has to decide on something. Or forego having a microwave altogether. After several days of being without: enduring mediocre coffee, hot if fresh from a brewed pot, but meh otherwise, waiting forever for things to thaw, and so forth, we decided to roll the proverbial dice and get one.Which led us to this one. We wanted something with a bit more power than the venerable GE, but as we mainly use the microwave for reheating and defrosting, not cooking, we didn't need one that would zap something with too much energy. Why use a battleaxe when a stiletto will do? Given how many of these things are now all-in-one appliances with air fryers, grills, and who knows what all else anymore, we took to the KISS principle, thinking that this is a microwave oven, that's all it needs to do. Further, after reading about key panels that are so dim you need a flashlight to read them, this unit with a more minimal set of controls was also appealing.Pros:Small space - the GE fits in a shelf space cut out to fit around our cabinets, but do you think GE would still have one that could be put into the same space now? "Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me..." Not happening. So since we don't want a hole in the cabinet space, the old one makes a great place to store our cat bowls and similar items. There is still function after death. So this Comfee claims some of the counter space, but not too much.Nice interface - I did have to read the manual to find why pressing the kitchen timer button wasn't microwaving, it really is only a timer, the actual selection of time is a two-step process - select power level, then time by turning the dial.Door with a handle. I was considering some with a "push the button" to open the door, but got to thinking that it is a spring in there to release the door, given the quality these days, they might not use a spring that will take a lot of repeated use.Instant 30 seconds with tap of start button. Great for quick reheat. Can press multiple times if needed.Tray brings item back to original position. When heating coffee, for example, you don't want to have to reach around the hot mug to get to the handle. This puts the handle back in front of you for much easier removal.Packed well and arrived safely - good job on the packing and shipping.Things I wish it would do:Well, you can't have everything, I realize, but it would be nice if you could set the Eco mode which saves power when not using the microwave by turning off the display to be the default mode, rather than having to re-initiate it each time. Beeps to remind you that "hey, stupid, you left the food in the microwave again" would be nice. One second increments between 1-20 seconds would be nice, it jumps in units of five at first, then 10. I can live with it, but you don't have quite the precision of a keypad. In conclusion, so far, so good. Now the real test is to see how long it lasts. The 37 year old GE sets a pretty high bar to clear...

I'm happy
I use this microwave every day with no problems (6 months). I like the knob to set the kitchen timer (convenient). Plus I like the clock. Nice design, nice display. The door opens with a big handle, no stupid latch, no stupid child lock, easy to operate, good value for the price.

Terrible Packaging
Microwave is great, but they package it so bad that it got dented. They put it in a huge box with nothing to keep it stable. So it was just tumbling around. Cute color though.

Different function than most microwaves
It's a true red. It works different than most microwave, but instructions are very clear. I'd buy it again.

Easy too use.
Nice replacement for my first slightly different design red colored microwave. The red color just goes with the kitchen colors and this isn't too large yet the wattage is more than my last oven. Love the way it turns whatever you put in it back to the way it was facing when you put it in there. It always irked me that the handle of the measuring cup never was toward me with the old oven, always had to reach around for it. Light stays on while cooking and turns on when door is opened. Stay ahead of the cleaning! Always try to minimize anything that will release steam by using paper towels over the vented openings of food containers and or use food containers with lids that vent. Always wipe down inside on oven right away because these things are impossible to clean once anything gets baked on. Also, once the 5 beeps are done you can just open the door, no need to push the stop button since I think that puts it in child lock mode, a temporary lock but still a needless wait for your food. All in all a nice microwave oven.

I love this! Exactly as it looks and performed extremely well and dependably!

Edit: only gets worse over time. Cute color, annoying to use
Edit: It's only been six months, and it barely works anymore. All microwaves have hot and cold spots but this, despite the rotating plate, is pretty much 90% ice cold spot where food remains frozen no matter how long you heat it. One single point on the food will get boiling hot and explode. (And I know about the middle-of-the-rotating-plate is a cold spot theory, so I started offsetting food to one side or the other for the past 3 months, with no luck). I got a $40 microwave at Target and it lasted for 10 years. This one is about to go into the trash (by which I mean driving all the way to the hazardous waste recycling drop off) after six months. I really regret going for looks over functionality and durability. I do have a Comfee brand dishwasher that works great, so the brand seems very spotty on quality. This microwave looks cute and is a beautiful pale seafoam green. But it's very annoying to use because when you turn the dial, rather than show the cook time, it gives you all the presets. For someone who's always wanting to bake a potato or microwave popcorn I guess this is great. For me nine times out of ten I want to cook for a set amount of time at the normal maximum power. To do that you have to press "power", press "start" to let it know you want to cook at max power, THEN turn the dial to get the cook time. THEN press the start button again to start cooking. You get used to it but it's not efficient or intuitive. I'd say go for a less pretty, better designed microwave.

Love mine!
This is a pretty basic but cute and functional microwave! Exactly what I wanted! The red isAdorable and you can turn it on simple & quick. Cooks well. The only thing I didn't like was the bottom feet were slipping allowing the microwave to slide forward when I pulled the door open.So that was a easy fix with one of those No slip pads for your sink from the dollar store that I saw suggested in somebody else's review. Put it under the front of the microwave under each foot and no more slipping. I got a red to match my microwave so simple cute $2 solution. The manufacturer should make better no slip feet but otherwise it's a great simple inexpensive microwave and it worksGreat and looks adorable on my counter. Give us that kind of a retro look.
