Seriously... if I had to choose between the Glitter and Metallic Crayons for a shimmery kind of look... I would use the metallic hands down every time. Ditch the glitter crayons... they don't shed their glitter (which is part of their problem when trying to draw, cause the glitter just accumulates and you cannot color with them without scrapping). The metallics write smooth, they look great and have a creamy kind of coloring when using them... they are not actually creamy and wet... just they color well. I love em. Would buy more when the time comes. they will snap like any other crayon when in the hands of a 3 to 4 year old. So... sturdiness is still that of a normal crayon.
