This toy is a piece of junk. The internal mechanism that turns the coin is made of plastic. It stopped working the second day we had it. And worst of all it ‘came from Santa’ so we can’t explain why it sucks so bad…maybe the elves had a bad night?! I would not recommend buying this cheap crap.

The gumball machine came with about 30 gumballs instead of the 85 shown in the pictures. It does work without coins too. The material feels a bit cheap, though, so it needs to be handled with care to avoid damage. Overall, it’s cute and functional for light use or decoration, but not very sturdy for heavy or frequent use.

Close match for the old fashioned gum ball machine

Purchased for Christmas gift for 7 yr old. Cute little bank. Gum quality was good. Hard but not too hard to bite on. The flavor doesn’t last too long. The bank itself is all plastic, dome and base. Unfortunately child found out all to soon you didn’t need to put money in. He could just take off the top. Which is supposed to screw on, but doesn’t screw on tight enough. The bottom of it where the money falls into doesn’t click in to keep it closed, kept opening. I had to tape the bottom. I think this gum ball machine would be good for a younger child 4-5 yrs of age.
