Good skimmer for the money
Had no issues with getting the skimmer set up and running. Took about 45 mins. Pretty simple if you've had a skimmer before. Pretty easy to adjust the flow. You will have to get your hands wet as the flow adjuster is by the pump. Broke in after a few days and had to readjust flow. Haven't touched it since then. My tank has a rim and it still works fine. Can't really tighten the skimmer down on the rim but it sits on the back with no issues at all and doesn't move around. Really like that you can run a drain hose (included) to a bucket or container of your choice. So you don't have to empty the skimate cup, which is actually decent sized. The cup screws off so it takes a few seconds to unscrew it. Now I only take the cup off to clean it out every month or so. The skimmer works great. It does what it is supposed to. Get out the crap. I have it on my 75 gallon tank and it's doing a good job. Wouldn't hesitate to get another one for the price. Sure you can spend a lot more and get a better skimmer but this is great bang for the buck. I'll update if I have any issues, only had this about four months.

Too many problems to be considered quality
the ONLY reason this skimmer got 2 stars not 1 is because when it works it works fairly well however...The Coralife super skimmer is a product lacking user friendly operation. This skimmer can work great at times and then go completely out of whack any second. The bubble reduction box is a joke, and just takes up a large amount of space while still letting micro bubbles spew out. Slight changes in the water chemistry cause the collection cup to overflow easily (as the problem with many skimmers). The pump gave out in only 3 months, completely dead out of the blue. The skimmer is not in any way quiet. I thought it was against the wall causing it to vibrate, but sadly i realize this skimmer has a annoying humming problem. When you can get it too work it works rather well for the price, but is too touchy to be considered a product i would repurchase, or recommend to anyone else.On a side note, the pump when used in hob should be about 3" from the surface for optimal use. THIS IS IMPOSIBLE. even when the tube is cut at its shortest possible length the pump will be 6-7" under the water surface.Im switching to an in sump set up because even though this skimmer works HOB, it works so poorly an takes away from the tank. If your considering this skimmer i highly suggest checking out a reef octopus skimmer first and spend the little extra money to save you from headaches and money spent in repairs.LAST CORALIFE PRODUCT I WILL BUY FOR MY TANK!EDIT - 1 year of useCan't stand the skimmer. Doesn't work well in my sump system at all. Salt creep clogs up the air outlet daily causing the skimmer to sputter out of control. Foam builds in cone but doesn't skim. Starts to get a good skim going then looses it and fills cup with water even though I have a constant water level. Will have to buy a new skimmer now.

Works Great!
Definitely pleased with this skimmer. You can adjust the water flow in and out unlike some others, you can only adjust one of the two. Right now I have it hung on the back of my tank until I setup a sump system. The pump and return are a bit big so they take up some space inside your tank. I think most of the skimmers nowadays are more intended for a sump or refugium than hang on the back. Also because of its size and performance, I also think it's intended tank size is under rated.

Good quality skimmer
It seems to be well made and is working well. Lots of bubbles but that's normal for a new skimmer and should get better with time. When I first plugged it in I didn't have it set right. The collection cup filled and then overflowed in a matter of seconds. Entirely my fault and I adjusted the flow to get it running properly. That leads me to my only complaint as there does not seem to be any type of overflow prevention. It took me a few seconds to unplug the unit and it pumped water onto the floor the entire time(I hanged mine on the back of the tank). I am a little concerned about something going wrong and the skimmer pumping 30 gallons of salt water all over my floor. For now, I'll put it on a timer so it only runs while I'm at home and awake so I can catch it and stop it if it overflows. I may eventually end up drilling a hole towards the top of the collection cup and installing a barbed fitting so I can run a hose back into the tank so the cup can't overflow.

You get what you pay for!
So, I needed a real skimmer but didn't want to spend $200+ dollars on one. Since starting my search, I've learned a new phrase:Cheap service is never good, and good service is never cheap. This skimmer is HUGE and having it hang on the back of my tank was just not gonna work so, I create a sump, which is a whole other story. Cutting to the chase, this skimmer is fickle, REALLY fickle. It took 3 days to really get going and start removing waste from the tank but once it did settle in, it really removes a lot of waste. The downside is that this thing makes LOTS of micro-bubbles and there is what equates to a grey "box" with a few slits on the bottom and foam on the inside that you can put the output hose in, which eliminates SOME of the bubbles. Once I had my skimmer operational, I couldn't fit the skimmer into the first chamber so, I thought I would just hang the skimmer off the side of the sump. Well, that caused all kinds of water flow problems from my HOB overflow but it took about 2 hours to pull me head out of "the darkness" and realize that all I needed to do was move the skimmer to the INSIDE of the sump and all was well! There are two dials that allow you to fiddle with the waterflow as it relates to the skimmer itself but, they are hit or miss, which makes having the skimmer INSIDE the sump a comfort because I no longer have to worry about the cup filling up and spilling over onto the floor! So, I imagine that if I had gone with a far more expensive skimmer, the control dials would do EXACTLY what control dials are supposed to do and I wouldn't have to adjust them constantly but all in all, the skimmer works, it just doesn't work very well.

EXCELENTE SKIMMER A BUEN PRECIO.
Llevo 3 meses usándolo en una pecera de 140 L marina y ha estado Perfecto. Por el precio creo que es una excelente opción ya qué hay otros que cuestan el triple. Tengo varios corales y han estado Perfecto así que creo es una buena opción.
