Shalom Church: The Body of Christ As Ministering Community Paperback – August 2, 2010

I purchased this book for a class, but every word resonated with me. It shook me out of my anger and complacency and prompted me to get to work. A must read if you are ready to do Kingdom work.

Dr. Nessan writes for today's church and gives a vision of what the church can be. Accessible and engaging writing. I highly recommend this book for all pastors to read and reflect on.

Dr. Nessan brings strong biblical theology along with practical characteristics which in practice change the current model of church. Amen

Yet another long churchy assignment of free will "what to dos," which seems to be the only thing the ELCA does. The bondage of the will, on the other hand, and the central article of justification by grace through faith alone are never dealt with.
