You also have to keep an eye on all three loose pieces (The rubber stylus cover, rubber charging port cover and the metal headphone jack cover) as you put the metal housing together. Not a difficult chore, but I did have to take it all apart and start over.Once the case is together, it gives your phone a large but indestructible feel. The rubber pad on the back stops it from sliding around the rubber padded sides give it more protection from sideways falls.I have only two downsides to this case... Well, three if you count the time it takes to put it together. The first is that the screen itself is more or less unprotected. There is a lip at the top and bottom to provide a bit of protection, but with no screen cover, your phone may be prone to damage should it land on a rock. I don't call this a full downside, as I tend to not have my phone out when I'm walking on gravel and I did know it didn't have a cover when I bought it.The second downside is that the rubber back and sides pick up a lot of dirt and dust. It also collects in the small gap between the screen in the case, so I'd suggest taking the case apart and carefully cleaning it every few weeks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended *by W***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2018* First off, I purchased this case at no discounts or incentives.I have used several of the big named cases for different model phones over the years. This is by far the most secure. My last phone case was an Otterbox Defender (broken) and before that a Trident Kraken(broken). This is hands down the best for protection. This case adds a good deal of mass to the phone. You gain approx .3" (7mm) around all outside edges. There are two plates of aluminum that sandwich a piece of flexible rubber between them. The back plate has a very handy price of rubber that keep it from sliding. The rubber extends approx 1/16"(1mm) out of the aluminum face plates. This rubber molding has little waffling at the front and sides, that would absorb any normal impacts. The phone itself pops into the rubber molding perfectly. There are six small screws that pull the assembly together. Some reveiws state that the screws work loose. No problems with that so far. The front has approx .16" (4mm) raised edges at the top and bottom of the case. That raised edge will keep your screen from contacting any flat surfaces with a drop or normal use. The buttons work just as well if not better than without the case. I like the fact that the power button is recessed, as it will not power on in your pocket or pack accidentally. It also makes it easier to find the power button and not turn on Bixby or volume accidentally(in the middle of the night, to freak out the dogs and sleeping partner). It does come with a Bixby button for those that use it. The cutouts for the headphone, charger and s-pen a great for holding everything in place. I'm also very happy with the placement of the speaker. The way I hold a phone I was constantly blocking the sound completely. I would recommend to get a screen protector or tempered glass. This case has already absorbed scratches and drops that would have trashed the phone. Highly recommended case if you abuse phones. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Its a TANK! Might be good for you, not so much for me. *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2018* I haven't read the other reviews but I have had more than a few minutes with this case to work with it.I stated out at one star As far as ease of installation I will give it a two out of five. The manucaturer used a hex head micro screw to seal the case. If you want to take out of the case later for some purose and don't have the hex wrench, I wish you luck and patients. If you are buying this case for protection, its a celar winner. Its built like a tank. 5 out of 5 stars. I read that the QI charging will still work but that is a half truth. The QI does work but NOT with a desktop angled stand. The flat disk or square style QI Charger. 2 out of 5 stars. I did connect a cable to the bottom USB-C connector and it accepted it. snugly with zero room to spare, If you have a head-end car MFD and your need to connect your phone with a cable in the car you might find this task tedious. Size...this is a big issue. I'm a man and I wear a size EXTRA LARGE glove so I have big hands. With the case on, the width of the case is significantly larger. I can barely hold it in my hand comfortably. It barely fits in my shirt pocket. You decide the stars on that one that one. While just installing the phone in the case I managed to scuff up the paint on the case. One star. Because of the materials used, the weight of the phone is increased significantly. Its a great case if your only concern is the safety of the device.
