Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I have quite a large beard and regularly rotate different products. This was recommended by an unaffiliated 3rd party and I must say, I'm very pleased. Scent (of the Original) is potent but not overwhelming by any means. I'm not good at describing scents so I won't waste your time with all of that. I will say it's a solid masculine smell that I found to be very appealing and, for what it's worth, my girlfriend also really liked it. The hold is fantastic. For the last year or so I've been sticking with another beard balm that was hands-down my favorite... however, it had very little hold. This product's hold is perfect. Like mentioned before, I have a fairly large beard and and need extra hold if I want it to keep its shape throughout a long day. This one does a great job without feeling too "thick" as I've noticed some beard balms over do it and end up feeling more like a wax. If you're having trouble getting the product out of the tin, treat this like you would with a wax. Use a finger nail and scrape the product out, then lather it around in your hands to "melt" it into what essentially feels like your standard oils. That way it comes right out and you can get an accurate amount every time. Last but arguably most important, I've been getting more serious about beard products lately and the BIG thing that interests me is the fact that they do not use any Chemicals, Preservatives, Fragrances, or Colorants in their products. That's awesome because the more research I did, the more I found a large majority of these companies use terrible chemicals, fragrances, etc in their products. I spend a lot of time, money, and effort on my beard so I can appreciate a company that doesn't pump a product full of that garbage. Cheers - I'll definitely be back to buy more.

My go to beard butter. No over perfumed scent and provides good hold throughout the day. Works especially well on humid days.

Well I must say this stuff is pretty good. I still have issues with a few areas that hair does not grow, and I never went too far into trying to grow a beard because my hair on head is so fine then I get these patchy areas of curly hair that made me look like one of Chinese Short Hair ugly dog competition champs. This stuff actually tamed it out pretty well and I can brush it straight and do a bit of a facial comb over. My beard feels soft, and I like the smell of the original. In all due seriousness though, I probably would have shaved by now if it was not for this stuff. I usually last past the itchy part, and where it starts to get soft, followed by being not exactly satisfied with how it actually never really fills in. But this stuff makes it really soft and it does not really fill in but makes it manageable. I don't actually try a facial comb over, but it is nice that I can comb it straight and it does not go back to a somewhat curly mess like usual. I also would like to say that I have not tried other stuff. L:ike many I look for what gets the best reviews on Amazon and give it a try. Happy I did.

I did a lot of research on this product to make sure it was mostly unscented. I came across a lot of reviews saying it didn't smell and had numerous people answer that question in the question section that led me to believe I would only get a minor smell with this product. However, upon using it I found the odor it has to be quite strong. Enough that other people (family) smelled it as I was near. To me it smells like the cleaner Pine Sol and I'm not a huge fan of that scent. I could handle pine needle smell but this has a more chemical smell of pine to me. It's unfortunate the smell is so strong to me because I have to say it does do a good job of taking my long beard. That's why I gave it three stars because it says they use no fragrances (which I still believe) but the ingredients do have a strong smell to me. This was a bummer, but as noted the product absorbed into my beard quickly and kept it from getting all wild throughout the entire day. It kept it near tangle free all day and did do a good job of softening the beard a bit. I should note I have a good sniffer and often a minor smell to some is a potent one for me, so please keep that in mind if you're using my comments to help you with a decision based on smell. Good product, just too strong a smell for me.

The tin is only a little bigger than a 50p piece and I expect is only a quarter of the 56g that the product pictures suggest. The pictures are therefore misleading. UK customers will also incur customs charges that increase the advertised price by 40%. This is not worth the money.
