Wood's Powr-Grip 8" Suction Cup with Metal Handle and Carrying Case (N4950)

Recently remodeled a shower which was going to need a shower glass door. I remembered previously seeing a glass installer use this type of suction cup handles to move large panels of glass. I inquired with the glass installer and he recommended this brand. Did some research and found very good reviews so I decided to buy my own. Glad I purchased them cause I just used them to install a sliding glass shower door. Project came out fantastic and knowing I have these suction cup handles available to handle glass gives me peace of mind. Great suction power and quick release too. Worked flawlessly and highly recommend.

I don't usually have a lot of help remodeling my house. I've really tried to be a one man show for most of it. When it came time to install the three West facing windows on my house, I needed some help. The windows are 3' wide by 5' tall. With this one vacuum cup, I was able to hold the window like a sheet of plywood, climb up a ladder and get the window placed near the rough opening. The indicator line is clearly visible as you use the tool, and it works as promised. With a helper, I managed the final step of shoving the window out the rough opening, then back in with the flanges extended. This was the biggest window so far, and was the easiest to install as well. Also very helpful for moving the un-installed windows around the house prior to installation. MAKE SURE you know how heavy your windows are, and compare that to the rating of the cup. We contacted the window manufacturer to make sure we weren't above the weight limit on the 8" cup. the release button is hard to hit while the tool is in use. This is, obviously, by design and very much welcome. Easy one hand pump and release. Wish I had bought this for the smaller windows (all 16 of them). A pro tool.

I've owned this invaluable tool for quite some time now and it's used almost daily. I use it to move, lift, carry & hang commercial laminate doors. From 3'8" gyp core rated doors to 4' lead lined doors, which are absolute beasts. This suction cup has never came off or even slid while on any door. I know I'm exceeding the rating of weight for this cup, but don't care, my back is saved and I'm able to get the job done without damaging my body, the door or the finished floor. I've stuck this to laminate and solid surface countertops to maneuver and install them as well, and again, it works great. I've also used this for non typical applications such as installing InPro wall protection sheets and needing to slide them slightly after they're stuck to the glue. I also found it useful to adjust luxury vinyl tile flooring (Mirra) while installing it. I'd never guessed it could grip enough to be able to slide an 18"x18" tile freshly stuck to pressure sensitive adhesive, but it does and I'm able to slide the tile just enough if needed. And of course, it grips glass very well to as I've used it to remove commercial glass from their frames. Again, worked great! Nice heavy case to protect it too.

These are more expensive then the other brands sold on amazon, but worth it. The value is in the build of the tool which is made in the the US. If something wears out on these, replacement parts are redily available for repair. These are the ones professionals use not throw aways.

Great tool

Use them for heavy map files and 500 lb microfilm cabinets. Gives you way more control and a nice handle to lift or guide the cabinet. Excellent

Money= quality Use it to lift a 6x3 ft mirror, install 2x4 floor tiles in a project recently. Excellent. The confidence that no need to worry the heavy stuffs will let go is the key ! Also, good brand carries replacement parts = it design to serve long.
