Worked great for my set-up spraying latex paint for small jobs using standard compressor used for nailer. Filter is serviceable so water trapped can be removed and dried out between jobs. Would not recommend for high humidity climates without pre-filter, would work fine for post filter application IMO.

I bought this air filter/liquid seperator for use on my CO2 laser so that I could use my shop air compressor for "Air assist". I found it to work quite well. It is not big or heavy and it appears to be well built/sturdy. I attached it to the end of my reel hose right before it attaches to my laser cabinet. I live in a fairly dry climate so there is'nt a lot of moisture build up to begin with but the filtering seems to be good.

Well, kind of a mixed review. The product worked great for capturing water and is very inexpensive for the quality. However, it is quite restrictive and won't allow nearly enough air flow for my HVLP 1.4 and 1.8 guns. It worked fine with the small 1.0 touch-up gun. But the larger guns use a LOT of air, as much as 10 CFM (estimate) with a wide spray pattern. I even tried two of these filter in parallel and still not nearly enough air flow. Next I tried a Harbor Freight Separator. No luck, still very restrictive (and it sprang a leak almost immediately). Even a good sized separator listed on Amazon only flows 7 SCFM according to it's manufacturer, and they recommend an even larger one for automotive spray painting. You can get by with a small filter, but your paint job will suffer.

It works as it should

I added this to my compressor and it immediately started working, removing mostly water from the line. This really helped me with my paint spraying.

Glass got cracked at the first use. Maybe it came cracked already but I hadn’t checked it, so I can’t blame the manufacturer. However it should’ve lasted longer.

I needed this for my small 5 gallon compressor tank to remove the water. The one that was originally on the tank broke a long time ago. Since I just use the compressor to mainly fill tires I did not replace it. I have a new project that requires the use of a sand blaster and the manufacture recommends a filter of remove moisture. Plus you should just have one anyway. I like that this one is clear so it's easy to see when it needs to be emptied which is just a mater of pressing the button. It's not really made to be in a horizontal position, which is how it would, have been installed, so I added a few pieces of pipe to get it to around a 45 degree angle with the valve a the bottom so any moisture collects near the outlet and is easily ejected when the button is pressed. Seems well made and should last a long time. I definitely recommend this filter for smaller size tanks. Large ones that produce a lot of CFM might required a larger unit so you are not pressing it all the time.
