I love this product! It's my go to when I want to use it on my tires and trim after I wash my truck. I have used different products for my tires in the past and they didn't meet my expectations because those products after applying on my tires and than driving would sling the tire product all over the truck. The Chemical Guys Silk Shine Protectant meets my expectations and does not sling at all after applying and when you drive. I like that it has a matte finish for the tires and trim and not shiny. Works very well on my tires and trim and last a while. Doesn't have a bad smell either, nice size bottle and leaves the wheels and trim looking good and clean. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that washes and details their own vehicles because it's a very good product.

This stuff is amazing. It leaves a durable, rich shine on vinyl, leather and plastic surfaces that puts competing products to shame. Add to this that, after it dries for 10 minutes or so, the surfaces are dry to the touch. No more oily hands when touching a dashboard that has been treated! The shine remains for a long time. I've found that the attractive shine is left on my dashboard and door panels for well over a month after application. It does wear a little quicker on the console where I tend to rest my forearm as I drive, but still lasts for quite a while. I wiped down my leather seats with it and they're left looking probably better than when they were new. It also seems to leave the leather feeling more supple which leads me to believe that continuous application to leather seats will prevent cracking as the car and leather age. I've also used it to treat the black plastic panels on the outside of my vehicle that have been faded from UV light. It has them looking new again with very minimal effort, and the black shine holds up to the elements at least as well as most "tire shine" products will on tires. Depending on the weather, I can expect my panels to look great for about 2 weeks after application. In the absence of rain/snow, I suspect it would last near a month. The scent is fantastic--a nice "new vinyl" scent similar to what is found in the AIR_101 New Car scent offered by the Chemical Guys. Do take care not to get it on glass. It will spot glass badly, as is to be expected from these types of products. The 16 oz bottle goes a long way, and the high quality sprayer that comes with it is much appreciated. Chemical Guys Silk Shine Tire and Trim Dressing works exactly as advertised and has become one of my go‑to detailing products. I used it on my tires, exterior trim, and interior plastics, and the finish is a clean, satin sheen that looks and smells fresh without being greasy or overly shiny. It brings the color back to faded trim and makes everything look new again. Application is simple: spray it on an applicator, wipe it across the surface, and it levels out beautifully with no streaks. It also dries quickly, so it doesn’t attract dust or sling off the tires while driving. After a few days of rain and normal driving, the finish still looks great where armor all would be streaking and need to be wiped down. The product seems to hold up better than many other brands I’ve tried in this price range. If you want a natural looking shine that restores plastic, rubber, and vinyl without leaving a slippery residue, this is a solid choice. I’d definitely buy it again.

Love this stuff! It works well on plastics (which we all know is the first to fade). It doesnt seem to keep the shine as long on rough plastics compared to smooth plastics but that doesnt appear to be an issue with the product, as every shine product I've used has had the same result, and this one lasts the longest. A little goes a long way. Works great on tires and interior trim. I would recommend their shine that's specific for tires though, because it dries faster and doesn't fling tire shine all over like this will if you dont give it a good wipe down first.

Silk shine is easy to apply and will freshen up all your plastic trim and rubber. Used this on my 2014 Sprinter exterior trim which was very faded and brought it back life. I use it on my tires as well giving them a nice satin sheen. Price is fair and product smells good on application. Will need to re apply when it starts to fade again but for me it lasts quite well. Around 2-4 months depending on the weather. Great product and I would recommend. You won’t regret this one!

Tested against Chemical guys VRP, Graphene tyre shine TurtleWax and meguires endurance gel. Chemical Guys Silk Shine is tied strongly with meguires endurance gel. Great stuff great shine if thats what you want.
