It has that classic deep maple taste that’s smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. It’s perfect on pancakes and waffles, but I’ve also been using it in baking; it adds such a wonderful richness. Wow, great syrup! (yes, I have somewhat discriminating taste buds) When I needed to find a natural source for my pancakes and waffles, I am so glad I tried this Vermont brand! It is an excellent organic maple syrup, that when stored in the refrigerator (after opening), gives you a wonderful taste and not runny maple syrup, that you will be glad you tried it for yourself. If you liked Mrs Butterworths (and other top commercial syrups), but want to get away from high fructose corn syrup, this is a natural way to get there, at a reasonable price. You can by more expensive maple syrup, but I doubt any more flavor-able than this one, and it is made in the USA, and even Organicaly Certified, besides. I will buy again and again, as I believe in supporting small business, and especially one that does it so well, from old Vermont woodlands! None better, for taste, price and right here on Amazon, especially for Prime users. Update Nov/2019: I ran out, and decided to order again, but by mistake Amazon sent me the dark color, robust flavor instead. I wasn't too happy, until they refunded me and told me to keep it, since it was their mistake. So I had no reason not to try the Dark Robust maple syrup now! I am very glad I did, as it is just as delicious too, and not that very different in flavor from the lighter Amber color. I imagine the flavor has more to do with the syrup coming from the same trees and maple farmers who produce it under the same conditions; just at different times of the season. So, order which one you think you would prefer, but either is a great choice and very tasty on pancakes and waffles, and many more uses besides. I don't live in Vermont and I am not an expert on maple syrup, but I do know what is good. Very viscous and rich in flavor. This syrup has about double the density of store syrup. I ordered this after realizing that the alleged gourmet syrup in the grocery store was incredibly thin. This is the real stuff and sticks to waffles like glue instead of running off on to the plates. It is darker. I realize that this is stuff is so popular that Amazon stocks this in a nearby warehouse. Well worth the money if compare to unit measure costs to store brands. Looking forward to having this on oatmeal and french toast.

lighter and milder than I've been used to buying over the years. I much prefer a darker, richer flavor but otherwise I don't have any complaints. Price is good so you give it tray and then decide based on your own taste preferences.

very good ! "VERMONT" maple syrup - would buy again

My husband and I love this maple syrup. I come from the northeast and can't seem to get good maple syrup in the southwest. So I went to Amazon to see what was offered. The price was great and the taste was even better.

I found it strange that the "Vermont Maple Syrup" was shipped from Phoenix (I'm in Virginia). When I opened it, I had to chip through about 3/4 of an inch of crystallized sugars to get to the syrup. The syrup tastes ok, but i don't believe this will be a repeat purchase....
