These dinners are easy to prepare in about 1-1 1/2 minutes in the microwave. They are good portion control and I found the Turkey Bean Chili to be the best meal in the set! That I'm going to order again by itself because it tastes much better than a canned chili. These are easy to keep on hand in your pantry or cupboards and make meals available and on hand all the time without any need to take up refrigerator or freezer space! Most of these meals are better if you have a veggie side dish! But with the Turkey Bean Chili all I need is some tortilla chips and some sour cream! Yum! ~The Rebecca Review

This is a multi-repeat order for me of the HMR variety pack. Here's my take: If you're expecting MIchelin flavor in pre-packaged diet food, you're going to be disappointed; however, if you're looking for a reasonable taste at a reasonable price, then you'll be happy. This is my go-to product when I feel the need to get my diet back on track. Yes, there are a couple of meals that are "clunkers" (to me, YMMV) but the majority are surprisingly tasty and can be eaten on their own or have veggies added for extra benefits. I do this for the convenience factors: easy to microwave, boost to my protein intake, and overall convenience of not having to spend hours over the stove when I'm already a bad cook. I also like that I can tailor my diet the way that works for me and I don't have to eat sweet protein bars for breakfast (a particular hate of mine) or drink protein shakes if I don't want to, unlike the more known Diet Systems (I'm talking to you NS and Jenny). If you're still unsure, try one or two. Either you'll find the convenience worth it or you'll move on. I highly recommend HMR.

I like that this is a large enough portion to take care of me during lunch. It's not big enough to be a meal by itself, to be sure, perhaps 9-10 ounces, but I only need a snack for lunch, not a whole pizza. Also like that I can store a dozen or so in a drawer; it does NOT need to be refrigerated. Taste is fine and only takes about a minute in the microwave oven.

Three of the 5 meals were very old. The chicken was stringy and the sauce tasted awful. Chicken pasta parmesan especially. The other 2 were fresh and tasted good. The value for the money is not that good. Each meal was about 3/4 of a cup. They tell you to add a veggie or other side which defeats the purpose. I bought so that I would not have to cook. If it's a meal I should only need to add heat and a fork. I will continue to search for a reasonable alternative. These were not consistent with taste and age. All meals should be fresh. That is a quality issue that needs addressing.

I am sorry I do not usually post my feelings. I would say 95! of what I order is great. Yes there are a few I am not totally great with. This review I have to write about. What is the reason to put in a meat substitute in this meal. First of all putting in an ingredient that looks like meat and is tough and awful is terrifying to me. Also, do you think vegetarians have to have something in their meals that looks like meat. This a poor excuse for you to think vegetarians have to have something disgusting and rubbery so they can eat this to make them feel like they are having meat. This is a #1 worst excuse for a vegetarian dinner. I have been a vegetarian for at !east 20 years and, honestly, I have never never wanted something that looks like beef in any of my dinners that tasted like. Here is the best part the looks like meat thing even had what looked liked hard fat piece. I love Amazon for many items I buy but I have to admit at 74 y.o. this is disgusting. h

I've been shopping around for pre-made meals for some time now. I live alone and have no appetite for spending too much time on meal preparation and clean-up. I, also, need to loose weight and my self-control is wanting when it comes to food. Although there are some excellent meal services out there, none of them fit my needs: too much cooking required, ackward preparation methods, too many calories, not enough variety, and so on. Some of them were very good for weight maintenance but not for shedding weight. Others were too bulky for my limited capacity freezer. Tnem I chanced upon HMR prepackaged meals. Wow! Tasty, great variety, little preparation time (one minute in the microwave, thank you), and no clean up! If you need additional bulk, you can augment them with low-carb sides: grilled zucchini or bell peppers, steamed broccoli flowerlets, cauliflower mash (four minutes in microwave, just like spuds). I've been ordering regularly since that first order. I've already lost 10 lbs and I hope these meals help to keep the pounds off. And wouldn't that be nice!

So when they came, I thought this is crazy, they are so small. Considering I am a really big lady, I figured the calorie counts are low enough, I can just eat 2 at a time. Surprisingly, these fill me up, though! Plus, you add veggies or whatever for sides and you're good to go. I was very very surprised how good these taste! I find myself craving them sometimes. Not only that, I lost 5 pounds in about 4 days... Now if only I can stick to it haha! I have NOT had one meal yet that I dislike. They all are super easy to make, you take it out of the box, lift up the tab to vent, put it back in the box and nuke for 1 minute.. That easy and no refrigeration needed! The have pairing ideas on the carton for other dish ideas which is really cool. I haven't tried any yet but will eventually. (IE: Mix your beef stroganoff with mushroom risotto and you get mushroom stroganoff!) Yes, that would mean two meals, but you could always eat half and save the rest, or if you have family they can eat the other half. This is great for someone like me who doesn't like to cook and wants to lose weight. The ONLY addition I do to some meals is add some cheese and/or garlic salt. I can't stand food without salt, and yes, they do have salt but I don't want to eat it if it doesn't taste salty. Have to pick and choose your battles here, people! Give them a shot... Not sure how really healthy they are, but at my size losing weight is important and they actually taste good to me and fill me up, so it's a win win.

These meals were not what I expected. The portions are extremely small, much smaller than I thought they would be, and they do not come refrigerated, which was surprising. The taste is fine, nothing terrible, but definitely not impressive. For the price, I don’t feel like they are worth it. I can see them being convenient in a pinch, but overall I would not purchase again.
